Hiring the right person is serious business.

That doesn’t mean we have to take ourselves seriously every minute we’re doing it. 😂

One of the things I enjoy most about this industry is getting out from behind the phone and meeting people face to face. The California Restaurant Show gave us another chance to do exactly that.

We got to catch up with clients, meet new operators and hospitality leaders, talk with candidates, make new connections, and still find time to have some fun along the way.

But behind all of it is something we take very seriously.

The right hire can have a huge impact on a restaurant or hospitality organization.

We work searches from the unit level all the way through the C-suite, and just about everything in between.

Chefs
Marketing
General Managers
Operations leaders
Executives
Finance
HR

If the role is important to your organization, it’s important to us to find the right person for it.

That’s the work.

Getting to do it alongside some of the best people in hospitality just makes it a lot more fun. 🍍

This food industry media thing isn’t for everybody.

It’s a passion business. The chefs. The innovators. The artists. The relationships you never expected to make.

And somehow, we get to be right in the middle of it.

This is the restaurant life. The theater. The energy. The showtime.

🧊 We're bringing back the Ice Bucket Challenge.

Not just for the nostalgia.

For a reason that still matters: helping raise awareness and funds for ALS research — and bringing more people into the fight to end ALS.

So, EHS Recruiting Company and I are officially rebooting the challenge.

I did mine. Now I’m calling out:

@shawnpwalchef 👀
@jdberko 👀
Michael Fehl 👀

You’re up. 🧊💦

Here’s the challenge:

Take the plunge.
Support ALS research.
Nominate the next person.
Keep it moving.

And I want everyone else to get involved too:

👇 Tag ONE person in the comments who you think needs an ice-cold nomination.

Let’s see how far we can take this thing again.

Link in bio to donate! 🙏

Who’s next? 🧊

We went from the California Restaurant Show straight to vacation mode with most of my cousins and their kiddos on my dad's side of the family!

We found a few ways to sneak in some pineapple paraphernalia, and I did a little @blindbarrels tasting to boot with a couple of our whiskey fans!

Now I need a vacation from my vacation, but back at it!

Guy and Jess attended the @californiarestaurantshow in Irvine this week! 🥘 🍴 They were excited to join their official partners at the @calrestaurants group and stick around for an interview to talk about how @employeemetrics can help YOUR business stay in compliance and lower labor costs!! #restaurant #hospitalityindustry #restaurantowners #hospitalityindustry #californiarestaurantassociation
