Thinking about all the wonderful people I’ve met and befriended through clay over the years.
Wild how many people this material has brought together. I love you all. And am feeling very thankful for our friendship and our shared love of dirt. 💕

Some highlights from @john.britt1’s glaze workshop this weekend. @beale_pottery keep a great studio & even hosted a bonus Raku firing on Saturday night!! If you’re looking for a place near the city to take a weekend ceramics class, check them out!

🌸slide one are the test tiles I prepped using one of the provided clear recipes tinted with differing amounts of additives.
🌸slide 2 are a snippet of John’s impressive test tile library
🌼3 @eichlerruth measuring her batches
🌻 4 & 5 fired tiles from slide one

January Dump. Weird animals, works in progress, my face, silly moments, quiet moments, lots of testing, lots of feelings. Overall a good start to the year despite some serious choices ahead. Lots of feelings as I face making a decision about what will be an incredibly invasive but life changing surgery. I’m really grateful for the family and community I’ve built over the years. Grateful for my art practice. Grateful I have insurance. Grateful I have dreams and goals that feel tangible and close enough to touch. Overall grateful for my life. Grateful for this online community. Grateful for arbitrary new beginnings. Grateful for change. Process. Hope. Xoxo -Natalie
P.S. hit my tag limit. If you’re wondering why you’re not on there, you’re also included. I just ran out of space. Love you.

This is the #5 on the bottom half paired with the #10, and #1 with a wee touch of #9 sprinkled on only the top 😜
Fun fact chris named some the glazes after our pets, hence the cheesy Charlie, moose glaze heheh!! But the #3 was brought to us by the one and only @eichlerruth so naturally it had to be named after her!! Looking forward to a Jim, Toby, Casey and Pigeon glaze 🤪😍[once things calm down of course!] @setfiretoit. @eogiogi @hyro_key @amberfrancesart 🤓

First night of #theskeeleague @begylebrewing.
Levi is leaving penguinfoot for a sweet new gig and I'm glad for him but bummed to not have him as a teacher anymore. 😭
