In June 2026 Eight had a stroke and our whole life changed. Although we spend our days in gratitude we can’t help but talk about our feelings since Eights Stroke.
After being hospitalized for acute Occupational & physical therapy at Rancho Los Amigos. We spent our days talking about creating intentional art and jotting down ideas about making our pop ups interactive.
Post- Stroke recovery we have noticed how hard it’s been to maneuver everyday tasks and depression has came in waves along with the overwhelming financial burden. Days have been spent on calls trying to get grievance medical support for the medical bills that don’t make sense. Vending has become extremely difficult & mentally tasking but we have connected with soo many survivors in our community that we understand how important art is to recovery. Color changes perspective. We have made it our goal to turn our pain into power maintain strong because we have no other choice.
We want to give a Special S/O to Hieraldo for offering his space, support, & opportunity because as a small business I know it’s not easy to give more than we can offer. Please make sure to PRIORITIZE @brownowlcafeela Over Corporate Coffee. Not only do they have the Best Horchata Lattes, Dirty Chia, Burritos, & Cheese danishes but they Support Local Artists like @eightxlucy

We are almost 4 months into recovery and although we were prepared for the physical aspect of this journey we are not equipped for the mental part of this journey.

Since Eight’s Stroke we have learned a lot about strokes/stress/mental health & the importance of Check-Ins amongst the Graffiti & Art/Creatives World. We had the pleasure to start these conversations with @jusjayson and with his support we created a BE. FAST💨 PACKAGE that gives a general guide to stroke recovery and how we are navigating through this experience. Each One Teach One.

We have Collaborated Forces @doubleoutlines x @lovecrew
Eight designed our Daily Check-In Faces inspired by The UGLY ones we had to see daily while being Hospitalized.
From that we sat with LOVE and our brains started connecting the dots into something bigger.
We created:
-Booklet
-Button Pack
-Magnet Pack
-Sticker Sheet
-18x24 Print
-DOxLOVE Long Sleeve pressed on the spot!
Sizes small-3XL Pick up to 4 Faces to press on your
Tshirt 🎯❤️💯🎬
