This might be one of the best photos that captures the essence of who my brother @roger9607 is. He’s on the right a little blurry but still crystal clear in his full blown Leo ways on MY birthday 😩😂. Whether he plans on it or not, even in a blurred pic, he’s the center attention.

He’s intense fire but compassionate, dominating but a softee, strong and brave while being gentle and caring. The forever jokester (I legit wanted to punch him in his face COUNTLESS times growing up) with a love for family and friends that he treats like family. He’s loud af and will talk! And talk. And talk some more! A dedicated father who will travel thousands of miles to pop up at his boy’s schools for anything. He made me a titi at 16! It’s been wildly fun sharing your “jokester ways” as I felt more like a titi/big sis which is actually great now!

Anyhow, a natural born leader that provided me the blueprint for some of the best things I ever did in life. Thank you for being the bold big brother that treated me like a little brother (lol) and toughened me up to be the bad-ass-take-no-shit-from-anyone woman that I am today.

Today we celebrate your life and 47, yes FORTY SEVEN, sweet years on this earth. May God continue to add years to your life but more importantly LIFE🗣 to your years. Since I can’t be there in person, count this as your virtual cake with 48 candles 🎂🎂🎂🎂🎂🎂🎂🎂🎂🎂🎂🎂🎂🎂🎂🎂. Make a wish viejito!

Sidebar... Most don’t know this but I love dolls! So much that whenever I travel I always buy a doll from that country. I don’t over do it so it’s not like creepy or anything lol! But growing up I had limited dolls that actually looked like me with brown skin and black hair. Happy that has changed and is continuing to change to be way more inclusive than before and so little Black and brown girls can see themselves and their beauty everywhere! I’m totally loving @harperimandolls and just saw @post21shop has a special one launching Saturday! 🤎🤎🤎

And MOVEMENT! As scared as I was, and trust I was very scared, more so because I thought I would get hurt, I went roller skating. It was exhilarating to do something I hadn’t done in sooo long but also something I thought I would never be able to do again. Some wish for material things on birthdays. Me? I just wish and pray God continues to bless me with good health and movement! So if you still can, move your body! Walk, run, dance, skate, tumble, jump, skip, pedal, play... do it all, do it because you can, do it scared, do it for those who can’t. It’s a slap in the face to God to just sit on your ass after he blesses you with the ability to do these all these great things.
