Celebrating My Brother

So grateful for Ernie and Roger for taking my brother out to celebrate his birthday in Corona Del Mar. He is one of the most tender, loving people I know. He was a radiologist for many years at Cedars-Sinai and Kaiser, caring for so many people throughout his career.

Unfortunately, he was diagnosed with the rare illness Progressive Supranuclear Palsy (PSP) and is declining so quickly just four years ago and declining fast. We love him so very much.

He has always loved the beach, so spending time together by the ocean made his birthday extra special.

Please keep my brother Ron in your prayers.

If anyone has information about clinical trials, promising treatments, or holistic approaches that may help slow or improve the symptoms of PSP, please reach out to me. We would be incredibly grateful for any information or resources.

We are holding onto hope and cherishing every precious moment with him.

The day before our Alaskan cruise was spent doing what we do best—wandering Pike Place Market, hunting down the yummiest food we could find. Mission accomplished… and our stomachs definitely approved!

DAY 4 I’m saving the Day 2 posting - The River Floating Disaster for last. It was hilariously unexpected but so much fun. On this day we hiked two miles up Cathedral Rock. I felt bliss, gratitude, and accomplishment reminding me to continue to do the hard whether it’s just getting up from bed when I am feeling heartbroken, or watering the garden which Joe did, or go to the gym or ask for help, or meet with a friend, etc.
The hike down was challenging because it started to rain forcing us to hike slippery down fast. The risk of flash flooding scared us and we had to make a decision to continue to go down or go back up!
But answered God our prayers and the rain passed, and we ran as fast as we could to get away from the river creek and made it to the jeep praising Jesus for another unforgettable memory. I’m so grateful for these amazing women who have been loving on me.
