Beautiful sunny day in San Francisco, perfect for our annual pumpkin patch outing. One good thing about sketching pumpkins is that people always can tell what they are. #clancyspumpkinpatch #sanfranciscosummer (aka October) 🎃

Get yourself to @sfmoma asap to see Giant Arc by @jacobhashimotostudio. It is amazing! (Free admission in the second-level lobby.) It feels like a foggy SF sky, low-hanging clouds that read black and white from some angles but highly colorful from others. It is serene yet thrilling. #ThursdaySketchers met to sketch this wonder. It is worth many repeat visits. It’s made of 70,000 handmade paper “kites.” How they installed it is mind-boggling. How they’ll ever get it down is also 🤯. Check it out! #sfmoma #giantarc #jacobhashimoto #urbansketching

Fun time sketching at the Nightingale House with @sf_sketchers. Lots of Victorian detail in this one! Thank you to @sketchy_stephy for organizing!

Yesterday we sketched at #sydneygwaltonsquare and was fun to return to a park where I ate my lunch when I interned in the area back in 1997. I think I may have missed a few bricks in the old archway!

Part 2 of @sunsetsketchers at @stannesofthesunset. Beautiful day for sketching with a great turnout, this church, turning 100 in 2031, was my mom’s parish and grammar school when she grew up in the neighborhood. The priest came out and told us some of the history and even took a group photo. The grammar school is still a double school and doing well too. Thanks for @sketchy_stephy for organizing.
Also it’s been great having @art.via.nishtha visiting this summer and introducing her to the world or urban sketching and happy to see she’s bringing it back to Dallas, Texas!

At cafe Dolores park on the corner of 18th and Dolores looking towards Mission high school. The oldest high school in San Francisco founded in the 1890s. It survived the 1906 earthquake but in 1922, the original Mission High School was destroyed by fire. The present Mission High School complex was then constructed in a California Churrigueresque style between 1925 and 1927. Thanks @eileenpg for hosting
