The eir VIP Power of Women Awards have officially launched for 2026!

Now in its sixth year, the awards celebrate Ireland’s leading female entrepreneurs, with 129 women nominated across 13 categories.

The launch took place at eir’s Dublin headquarters, bringing together nominees, past winners and industry leaders ahead of the awards ceremony on the 20th of November at Anantara The Marker Hotel.

Running a food business is defo not all new listings and fun market research. There’s a whooole load of expensive mistakes with nobody to blame but yourself, questionable decisions, typos spotted approximately 3 seconds after hitting send, and a deranged amount of fried chicken stress-eaten without actually tasting a single bite.

But somewhere along the way, it also becomes this incredibly exciting, challenging, pretty addictive thing with a life of its own. Every day is different, you meet the most amazing people, discover that other people actually like (and sometimes even love!) what you’ve created, and get to build something with your husband that neither of you could ever have imagined.

And somehow, despite everything constantly going wrong, a lot of things do go right. To have this recognised with a nomination in the Food & Drink category of the eir Power of Women Awards, alongside so many brilliant women building amazing businesses, is beyond amazing!

This morning was so needed ❤️

A room full of genuine, inspiring, ambitious and incredibly talented women. There’s something really special about being surrounded by like-minded women who openly share their journeys and support one another and genuinely want to see each other succeed.

So much inspiration, beautiful energy and empowering conversations all in one room. Grateful to be surrounded by such amazing women in our industry 🫶

“Women are the architects of society.”

@luykxbianca from VIP shared these words at today’s launch of the VIP eir Power of Women Awards, and they stayed with me. 🩷

I’m so delighted to be nominated in the Communications, Media & Production category alongside some brilliant women. It was lovely to take a moment today to celebrate each other, hear our stories and enjoy being in that company.

Then home, where the celebrations continued with Ruby, my mum and some very lovely branded cookies! Three generations, and so much of what inspires me in two familiar faces.

Women are very good at saying “Ah, it was nothing” about something that took a huge amount of work.
I think that’s one reason these awards matter. They give us a reason to stop brushing off what we’ve achieved.
There’s value in seeing women’s names attached to the businesses they’ve built. It can lead someone to discover their work, book with them or put them forward for an opportunity. That recognition can mean something well beyond the awards night.
It also means another woman can look at the nominees and see someone she recognises herself in.
This is my first nomination for an @eir.ireland @vip.magazine Power of Women Award. With the clinic turning 20 this December, I’m very proud to be included.
I’ll try to accept a congratulations without immediately changing the subject. 😂🤍
