Artist Highlight: Eliana Ranti 💋🚀💋

💋Eliana Ranti (@elianaranti) is an emergent multidisciplinary artist based in Thessaloniki, Greece. She is currently a student at the Aristotle University of Fine and Applied Arts, majoring in New Media art. Having a painting background in her artistic arsenal, her work now extends through a diverse range of mediums, including video, photography, performance & sculpture. PROPAGANDA is her first work presented in an exhibition.

💋Eliana’s artistic practice examines the mechanisms in which art,pornography, social & mainstream media operate as tools of influence & distraction, shaping public perception. Utilizing techniques used to manipulate the masses, she weaponizes them to serve her own agenda, reclaiming power & agency over her own body and identity. Approaching the issues at hand in a playful, sexy manner, using her body as her medium, Ranti’s work explores how female, trans & queer artists are left vulnerable to sexual and creative exploitation, in an industry where visibility is gatekept.
