september’s coming to a close, which means i’ve got to face that it’s been a whole year since i began my journey at cli :,)

during my time at cli i had the privilege of learning from the most inspiring mentors and the honor of dancing alongside the most talented peers. through lots of sweat, tears, laughs, grit, and tons of hugs that could last me a lifetime, i found so much comfort in this small, yet seemingly large world we get to dance in. having the opportunity to be surrounded by overwhelming inspiration and infectious devotion is something that will forever stick with me. grateful to have shared such an experience with so many amazing dancers.

thank you @teddyforance for creating a space where dreams feel even more possible. @cliconservatory is a uniquely special place and I’m grateful to have experienced it.

huge thank you to @nichols14 @stephshumway @caseygonzo @riileywaatts @jennip1021 and @jwayno2 for the push, love, and unforgettable mentorship during these challenging and rewarding 10 months. i feel lucky to be able to reach for goals more confidently because of the impactful knowledge i learned from you all. thank you.

a big thank you to @danadaners for the undeniable support, guidance, and encouragement during the short but incredibly rich time i had the opportunity learn from you. thank you for reminding me that life can be so bright and we have the power to make it so. genuinely couldn’t have wished for a better mentor.

also big thank you to @krysiastcyr @whosyourkuya @henley_claire @_monelisa_ and @christinekicza for the reassurance, support, and encouragement through all the challenges and successes, you all make a true and special difference.

filled with gratitude and excitement thinking back on my time at cli. grateful for the sweat, the growth, the knowledge, the friends, and to have left feeling like i was on the edge of my seat not knowing exactly what comes next, but in the best way possible. thank you cy5 <3

What a summer! 🫶 How has it already been two weeks since our Friends and Family showing??

For those of you who just joined us, NVA & Guests just wrapped ten incredible days of our NYC Summer Workshop and our very first Youth Creation Program, a free program for teens made possible by the Danse Mirage Foundation. 🙌

It was such a pleasure watching each of these artists shine on stage. How lucky were we to be at @bmcctribecapac this year?!

I’m beyond proud of my team and everything we built together. These programs are bigger than anything we’ve ever done. Yet it feels like such a natural next step for us. And we’re already dreaming about next year!

$𝚝𝚑𝚎 𝚗𝚘𝚟𝚊 𝚛𝚎𝚜𝚒𝚗 𝚝𝚘𝚙 { THE PROCESS } made with love, 𝓝 ᥫ᭡ . . . novantique (adj.) ~ the combining of both old and new simultaneously on the soul level plane ; to embody being simultaneously of the past & the present to me represents knowledge , clarity , enlightenment , presence, & familiarity as well as raw magnetism that is practically a lost art especially in this day n age of oversaturation and overconsumption and the constant ‘need’ for something new. in every pearl, there’s a past, a process, and a promise – that inspired me to forge and craft with my own hands something wearable like this as a ‘frozen by ICE but melting’ piece in this time and it has even more depth of meaning to me personally along with the little motifs and details. like I said in the mini documentation of this process, I wanted it to reflect the current times but also be a nod to the backbone of art / history + culture / figures / research that has made a project like this even possible – there’s so many things I could identify that inspired the finished look , but I will let the viewer decide for themselves their take on it , just as a pearl would originate its own complexity. without definitive form and an inherently toxic nature working with resin for the first time ever , the act of draping & shaping this piece was like a dance and experiment with the fabric itself & something that could never be replicated exactly the same once more . . . echoing how I move through the world day by day despite the toxicity found in aspects of society . biggest thank you in the world for @ej.kinzel for having my back the entire process & beyond as well as believing in me even when successfully doing this seems impossible at times <3 flix by : @sarahgloverphotography creative direction : @alexisrosephotographyy coordinator : @henley_claire #diy #resinart #fashiondesign #ICEout #cliconservatory$
