The only thing better than making art is making art with friends. Bonus points if the art is funny and/or stupid 💚
I couldn’t wish for a better team than @dangelo1260 and @shelbyonline (and yours truly) to put on the first ever performance of @worldofthemeparkscomedy, and was absolutely blown away by the talent, camaraderie, and joy that this entire cast brought both on and backstage. Getting to do what I do is cool, but getting to do it with such great people is a gift.

Not to be sappy, but I really love that I live a life where I get to do stuff like play a mafioso enforcer for @knottsberryfarm to a sold out @ucbtla crowd. How many people in history get to say that? (2, me and @daviddluong)

@dangelo1260 @shelbyonline @noahsundaylefkowitz you guys really put together such a great show with and I thank you from the bottom of my heart for the opportunity to be a part of @worldofthemeparkscomedy 🙏🏻

The day I stop doing dumb shit on stage with my amazing friends is the day I stop breathing.

Should I have said “Knott to be sappy” instead

When I was a kid, we did this school “musical” called The Good News Cruise. I was in the chorus that stood on risers and the bigger kids got to say lines on stage. I remember so vividly watching them rehearse from the risers thinking, “That looks like fun. I wanna say lines too!”. But I never thought I was good enough to even try because I was always told I was too small, too awkward, and too chubby. So, I willingly let that dream die.

10 years ago this month, I would’ve been months away from graduating with a Sound Engineering degree. Instead, I dropped out of college to be on the other side of the sound board to play a pirate cat on different stages across the country on my first national tour: The Octonauts Underwater Adventure. It was my first time being paid to be an actor; I got addicted and never looked back.

I’m not proud of being a drop out, but I am proud of the part of me that I discovered once I did. So, Happy 10 Years to the kid who finally blocked out the noise and fuckin’ went for it.

And cheers to that chubby kid in the risers. You’ve always been “good enough”, bud.

July 5, 2019. The cast of The UMPO: A League of Their Own performed the national anthem at the Friday night Dodgers game.

A true bucket list experience.
We got to sound check with the organist. We got to do photo ops on the infield. We got to film the “Let’s Play Dodgers Baseball!” promo video. And we got to watch the game in and experience the luxury amenities of The President’s Sky Suite. 🍸😈 We even got to experience an earthquake 😳 (likely caused by the talent of the cast). I was there to document the shenanigans 📸.

Now, we hadn’t opened the show yet and @chaddmcmillan was still finishing the Rockford Peaches uniforms, with a huge assist from @marissajaretwinokur , frantically stitching and ironing them in the entrance tunnel so the cast could change into them moments before taking the field. It was a true photo finish. The magic of theatre!

The cast killed it. Under the musical direction of @gregorynaboursofficial , they knocked it out of the ballpark…so to speak. 😉 This show and this cast were so special. A true team, onstage and off, these Peaches were truly delicious.
Batter up…hear that call!
