POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

This past Sunday, members of @shoethics2023 and @lovingstone.gso came together for Kicks, Cuts & Community, meeting people where they were and bringing fresh kicks, fresh cuts, food, and community with them.

Together, we were able to provide haircuts, distribute shoes, share a meal, and create a space where people could feel welcomed, supported, and valued.

However, the most important part of the day was the connections we made. Through conversations, laughter, and simply being present, we were reminded that service is more than what we give it’s about the people we meet along the way.

Special thanks to @bippedbyluke, @kel.beijin , @blendz_bytk for coming out and donating your time and talent to serve the community. Your willingness to show up and give back helped make this event possible, and we truly appreciate y’all! ✂️❤️

This event was a reminder that when we come together, we can make an impact right here in our community. The work continues. 🫶🏽👟✂️

As we reach the halfway point of summer internships, I just wanted to take a moment to recognize a few of the incredible #FutureLeaders I’ve had the privilege of building with over the years. I’m missing a few in this post so don’t think I forgot about you all.

One of the most rewarding parts of this journey has been hearing their stories, witnessing their determination firsthand, and seeing the work ethic they bring to every opportunity. This summer, they’re representing themselves exceptionally well while interning with some amazing organizations, gaining invaluable experience, sharpening their skills, expanding their networks, and knocking out goals that will serve them long after graduation.

A special shoutout to:
🔹 Skai Thompson
🔹 Phillip Colbert III
🔹 Brandon Jones
🔹 Kaleb Conway
🔹 Ernest Campbell Jr.
🔹 Edward Ward IV
🔹 Danniel Simmons
🔹 AyoMosiah Odumosu
🔹 Malachi Brown

Each of these students has a huge academic year ahead, along with ambitious personal and professional goals they’re working toward. I have no doubt they’ll continue to rise to every challenge and make a meaningful impact in their communities and careers.

I’m incredibly proud of each of you and honored that you’ve allowed me to hear a piece of your story and be a small part of your journey. Keep embracing every opportunity, stay hungry, and continue building the future you’re working so hard for.

Know that I’ll always be rooting for you every step of the way. The future is in great hands.

family reunion @howard1867

This time of year is always a reminder that I made the best decision to go to an HBCU. The sense of pride, community, and joy is undeniable. I hope everyone gets the opportunity to experience black joy in this way - my future kids have no choice lol.

The Family Reunion at @salamanderresort hosted by @chefkwameonwuachi is a can’t miss experience

+ ran into some new and familiar faces
+ immediately had to put my hair up - VA humidity is no joke
+ an unlimited curated tasting menu 10/10 no notes
+ soul train line was the highlight of my night
+ African art displayed all over the resort
+ danced all night to live music

Felt like I was truly at home - The Family Reunion is something special.

Thank you @ncatsuaggies , for an incredible evening of connection, insight, and growth.

Thank you to @wicys.ncat and Upsilon Pi Epsilon for hosting Unlocking Potential: The Power of Soft Skills and Self-Awareness in Cybersecurity. It was a joy to witness such thoughtful engagement and curiosity from the students. Their energy, questions, and willingness to invest in their own development truly stood out.

Special thanks to @___miranduh___ x @mbs.tech for leading a dynamic conversation on the importance of communication, confidence, and clarity in navigating both tech careers and life beyond the classroom.

The future of cybersecurity is bright, especially in the hands of leaders like these.
