It definitely felt like a dream come true being on an actual movie set, and I’m proud to have helped honor the legacy of Anthony Bourdain. Huge thanks to @eja85 from @ejoyaproductions, and big shoutout to the entire cast whom I’ve seen for years: @antoniobanderas @dominic.sessa @emiliajonesy and @leowoodall I love you all, you too @stavvybaby2 even though I just discovered you but you still did an awesome job! 👏

I got certified to teach Pilates! If you know me, you’re probably thinking… that checks out.

You may not know.. I found Pilates after losing my brother, Bo, in 2018. Thanks to Nina Kritter. During the saddest and hardest time of my life, it gave me a moment to inhale, exhale, move, and just be. I practiced almost every day that summer with a wonderful Australian teacher named Christina.

Every time I wiped down my mat, looked at myself in the mirror, and left class, I felt a little more ready to face another day.

Since moving back from LA and turning 40, I’ve been thinking a lot about how I want to live and age with ease, strength, grace, and power. Movement is a huge part of that.

Getting certified challenged me personally, mentally, physically, and spiritually. I had to surrender, learn, get uncomfortable, get humbled!!! unravel a little, and build again.

And while I was in teacher training this weekend, I also co-produced my first short film in Rhode Island with an incredibly hardworking, talented, real and kind writer/director whose work and vision I’m proud to be aligned with. @_mikaylab is super rad and deserving!!! MAJOR thank you to the Cowesett Inn and all 15 of my background actors. And Thank you to @jwryder11 for connecting us!!!!!

That feels especially meaningful to me.
I want to make movies with great people.
I want to move my body and age powerfully.
I want to keep learning and taking on things that scare and excite me.

I’m realizing I can make room for all of it.

And with Pilates, I hope to give people what it once gave me... a place to come as you are, breathe, move, and hopefully leave feeling a little better.

Thank you, Joshua Cardona, for all of your love and support as I keep becoming.

Finally had some time to decompress and reflect after the incredible week I experienced last week at the @flickers.riiff and the @pvd48hfp Awards and Best of Ceremony. The past nine months of my life have been hell and filled with nothing but a heavy shadow over my head ever since my Gramma passed back in October and being let go from a job that wasn't the right fit for me anyways back in December. From that point on and still today I've been working on trying to rebuild my life and remind myself of who I am and what really matters to me.
I made the decision after being let go to dive right into making this acting thing work full time no matter what. Something I am still striving for. There were several times I wanted to give up and was feeling incredibly hopeless because of all of the drama surrounding my family as we were dealing with estate stuff. But this past week, I was reminded of why I belong in the entertainment industry and why I will not give up. Seeing many familiar faces, many of which I can now call friends and reuniting with people I've worked with before and feeling how much joy they had talking about new projects or adventures and seeing others work on the big screen, it reminded me of what's possible and if others can make it I sure as hell can do it too!
When my parents and I watched the films on opening night, I silently told myself "That's gonna be me up there. You'll see." I was rejected from a few auditions lately but I'm also practicing the art of detachment and learning to let go of control. I did what I needed to do now it's out of my hands and whatever will be will be. My worth is not tied to the amount of auditions I do or don't land. My worth is not tied to social media likes or views. I know what I bring to the table. The world just isn't ready to see what I can do YET! Because when it does its going to change the world in the best way possible.
I truly cannot thank the entire Flickers RIIFF team enough for putting together such a well orchestrated and inspiring week! I'm coming back next year!! 💖

Sammy, you’re officially my favorite zombie-slaying filmmaker. 😂🧟‍♂️

Although I missed Mattie, I had the absolute BEST time going Behind the Mic with Sammy Suchmann at the @flickers.riiff!

Sammy and his best friend Mattie Zufelt didn’t just star in Spring Break Zombie Massacre — they conceived and wrote the 2016 DIY comedy-horror film after meeting through the Special Olympics. And trust me… Sammy has PERSONALITY for days. 😂👏🏻

A 45-minute zombie movie created by two best friends with Down syndrome, packed with comedy, chaos and a whole lot of heart? ICONIC. 🧟‍♀️🔥
