In 1794, this complex housed a temple dedicated to Lord Shiva. The temple was built by Mahadji Shinde himself. Upon his death, he was cremated within the premises of the complex. His memorial was built in 1910 at the site of his cremation, and a memorial stands next to the temple.
The monument is an example of Anglo-Rajasthani architecture. Visitors can step inside the memorial into the large hall that is adorned with intricate designs, stunning archways, paintings, and photographs of members of Mahadji Shinde’s family and details of his ancestry.

Pradnyalaya of the temple, where young men come to study the religion – Jainism, an amazing place to contemplate on the subject of Life !
