A throwback to a special four-hands dinner at @casalavanda, where two landscapes met at the same table: Colombia, through @alvclv vibrant, biodiversity-driven cuisine from @elchato_rest in Bogotá, ranked No. 1 in Latin America’s 50 Best Restaurants 2025, and the terroir of Şile in Turkey, brought to life by @mresn and his garden-to-table philosophy and thoughtfully paired by incredible @alp.acik

Beyond the cuisine and the thoughtfully curated tables, what stayed with me was the feeling of the house itself: its warmth, the conversations, and that shared pleasure of being together, of welcoming and giving generously.

Casa Lavanda is a place to slow down and feel at home.

Geçtiğimiz hafta ilk kez kurduğumuz Günübirlik Meyhane sofrasında, sonbahar bahçesinde uzun bir öğleden sonrayı; Şef Emre Şen’in hazırladığı tabaklar, kadehler ve uzayan sohbetler eşliğinde paylaştık.

We had the pleasure of welcoming Chef @alvclv of @elchato_rest to Casa Lavanda for a four-hands dinner with Chef @mresn .
Two kitchens shaped by very different landscapes came together through a shared respect for biodiversity, local producers and the ingredients that define where they come from. The result was a menu created for one night only, carrying traces of El Chato’s Colombian roots and Casa Lavanda’s home in Şile in every course.
Our heartfelt thanks to Álvaro Clavijo and the El Chato team, and to everyone who joined us around the table for this very special evening.

(🇹🇷 2/5) If summer has to end, we can’t imagine a better place for it than @casalavanda 💜🪻

Less than an hour from Istanbul Airport, surrounded by nature, this gorgeous property is one of those places that makes you slow down from the moment you arrive.

What started as Feryal and Ahmet’s family home back in 1991 has grown into the beautiful Hotel Casa Lavanda of today, now run by their sons @mresn and @ekinnsen, awared with a Star, a Green Star, and a Key @michelinguide while keeping that intimate, soulful feeling in every corner. ✨🍀🗝️

You feel it in the gardens, the thoughtful details, the tables made for sharing, the food inspired by the land, slow moments by the pool and in the spa, and in that wonderful feeling that time simply moves a little slower here.

And the restaurant? It definitely deserves a post of its own to dive deeper into Chef Emre’s cuisine and the outstanding four-hands dinner with @alvclv @elchato and @alp.acik wine pairing🤩

Casa Lavanda is a place to stay, breathe and enjoy life. To watch the sun go down and then gather around the fireplace as the evening unfolds.
