We were traveling on Father’s Day and missed the opportunity to praise the dads in my life. I’m surrounded by great examples of good fathers, from my own one & only, many uncles, brothers, brother in laws, and now nephews. Yet, Erik is our 4 children’s #1! Erik worked tirelessly to plan, save and execute a wonderful European vacation for our family of 7. Thats not easy! Thank you so much @ekonearth There is no greater feeling of joy in my very being than when I have my entire family together. Having adult children makes it that much harder to align schedules in order to be together, especially for an extended time. I am so grateful that we had 10 full days of adventure together. The highlight for me and absolute gift of a lifetime was having all of our kiddos CHOOSE to accompany me at Lourdes, France for a torchlight rosary walk with thousands of other brothers & sisters in the body of Christ from all over the world. This was a magnificent privilege to carry my own heart’s petitions and many others’ prayer requests with me on this journey. This is the first time I’ve fully experienced a pilgrimage. This was like nothing else. I’m filled with peace, love & hope for my own family, those loved ones in my personal community, all of you, my friends, my church sisters, my neighbors, and our world. May these blessings remain as anchors in my heart always & forever. Thank you Lord God for this experience of family love and shared faith. May our children always know they are never alone in anything as we are each created out of love, by love and for love. 🙏❤️ @carofinekirk @themariosultan @tedkirk @queen_kirk @annabelleekirkk Summary Note: Saint Bernadette and Our Lady of Lourdes refers to the 1858 apparitions in Lourdes, France. A 14-year-old peasant girl, Bernadette Soubirous, experienced 18 visions of the Virgin Mary over a 7 week period. The visions led to the discovery of a healing spring and transformed Lourdes into a major Catholic pilgrimage site.
