Culmination of the Sewanee Summer Music Festival: I will miss everybody so much. To give is to gain, to teach is to learn. It was encouraging to receive a surprise award from the beloved students.

I’ve had so much fun over the past 4 weeks at Sewanee and I truly can’t describe how much I love this place and the people here. I’ve learned so much and worked with so many incredible and talented people, and the memories I’ve made this summer will last a lifetime.
@maya.cellist_ you’ve been the best roommate I could’ve asked for, and I’m so thankful that we met each other and got to spend every day and every night together.🙈
@stinky_tomato12345 you’re such an amazing person inside and out, and I’ve loved watching you open up during our late night conversations and our talks on the cliff.🫶🏻
@htuck139 I’ve truly enjoyed knowing you this summer, you really do make me laugh all the time and your talent is really so inspiring, thank you.🫰🏻

Couldn’t have asked for a better summer. Met some of the coolest and inspiring people of my life and I learned so much in only a month. Going to miss the morning and late night hikes. And I’ll miss the coffee and sandwiches at Sterlings Cafe. I’ll miss the pizza at McClerg, and rock climbing at Fowler. I’ll miss all my friends so much and they were such amazing cool people and it sucks to have to go. Tchaikovsky 4 and his 1812 were such a privilege to play, as well as Holst’s Mars Venus and Jupiter. It was a summer well spent.

I’m so grateful for everyone I’ve gotten closer to, have met this year, and of course I’m incredibly grateful for the family and friends I’m still with today, sorry I couldn’t fit everyone here but I love yall and I hope for an amazing 2026
