Dear Muo community, we are pleased to announce that we will be returning in a few weeks with a new group exhibition ๐จ๐ฉ๐ž๐ง๐ข๐ง๐  ๐จ๐ง ๐Œ๐š๐ฒ ๐Ÿ๐Ÿ–๐ญ๐ก!

๐–๐ก๐š๐ญ ๐ญ๐ก๐ž ๐„๐ฒ๐ž ๐‡๐จ๐ฅ๐๐ฌ explores the gaze and its impossible neutrality.

Far from being a passive act, seeing is always shaped by what we have lived through by memory, experience, and the subtle layers of what we carry within us, often without even being aware of it. The eye is never alone: it is formed, displaced, and quietly marked by everything that has touched us.
The works gathered in this exhibition navigate the fragile space between what is shown and what is perceived.

๐€๐ซ๐ญ๐ข๐ฌ๐ญ๐ฌ : @no_flash_allowed, @lileflor_ , @mao.wum, @clement_jacques_vossen, @camilleamandinemarino, @tatianavejic, @___mauddraws

Each artist arrives with a singular history: origins, displacements, tensions, attachments. At times these narratives are political; at others, they are more intimate, discreet, rooted in memory, sensation, or ways of inhabiting the world. Nothing here is fixed. What emerges is not only what is shown, but also what each viewer projects, receives, and retains.

What the Eye Holds may be this: what we retain without always being able to name it. What the eye captures, and what the body continues to hold in other ways.

A mural painting by @madeleine.schilling , February 2026

When a wall becomes a landscape and painting, a breath. An exhibition where forms and architecture engage in dialogue to create a sensitive and narrative territory.

Thank you all for your presence and for the welcome given to this project.

A thank you to @mayavanpersie for beautifully capturing these cherished moments.

A few weeks ago, ๐‡๐ฒ๐ฉ๐ง๐š๐ ๐จ๐ ๐ข๐š, our first Muo project, came to an end. An important chapter, which laid the foundations for what we wish to develop: a space in motion, dedicated to artists and their research.

Hypnagogia brought together 8 artists with diverse practices, whose works unfolded within a deliberately raw, open, and welcoming space. The exhibition was conceived as a passage, an interstice where one takes the time to look, to listen, and to allow other narratives to emerge.

Muo was born from the initiative of 3 friends engaged in the cultural sector for several years. At a time when the sector is particularly fragile, we felt the need to create an independent space, a place of visibility, but also of support and collaboration.

Inspired by movere โ€œto move, to set in motionโ€ ๐— ๐˜‚๐—ผ carries the desire to continue bringing artistic projects into existence, even when the context makes their emergence more difficult.

We would like to deeply thank the artists for their trust and the quality of their work:
@timdebrouwer
@donagillon
@diego.herman.z
 @haolinhuang0716
@michael_a_lb
@mathildevannuffel
@isawoodhouse
@zabeluc

Our thanks also go to those without whom this first project could not have come to life:
@hugo_neumann_exclusive_lights for his lighting expertise๐Ÿ’ก
@guivicnt for his high-quality lighting installation ๐ŸŒŸ
@gigi.amrs and @thomas_2p2l our personal MacGyvers ๐Ÿ› ๏ธ
@emma.legein @emmasyogaworld for this floating yoga moment in resonance with the exhibition ๐Ÿง˜โ€โ™€๏ธ
@luanabassil for the photographs of this first edition, soon available on our website ๐Ÿ“ท
And our friends and families for their precious support at every stage ๐Ÿ‘ฏ

Hypnagogia comes to a close, but the movement continues.

2026 already promises to be a new adventure, with other projects we canโ€™t wait to share with you ๐Ÿ”ฅ
