Some bands need a few albums to find their sound. Others get it right the first time. Tell All Your Friends by Taking Back Sunday is definitely the latter.

When a music scene explodes into the mainstream, there’s always an album that gets overlooked while bigger names steal the spotlight. While bands like My Chemical Romance, Paramore, Fall Out Boy, and The Used became household names, Tell All Your Friends remains, for me, the standout record of that era.

The raw emotion, heartfelt lyrics, and mature songwriting set it apart from many of its peers. It’s an album that had a huge impact on my music taste growing up, opening the door to artists like The Cure and The Misfits—bands that heavily influenced Taking Back Sunday themselves.

Over 20 years later, it still sounds just as powerful as the day it was released.
