Reposted from @eleanorgeorgee Heartbreak Hotel

Well, since my baby left me
Well, I found a new place to dwell
Well, it's down at the end of Lonely Street
At Heartbreak Hotel

Where I'll be, I'll be so lonely baby
Well, I'm so lonely
I'll be so lonely, I could die

Although it's always crowded
You still can find some room
For broken-hearted lovers
To cry there in their gloom.

Reposted from @eleanorgeorgee The Sound of Silence.

Hello darkness, my old friend
I've come to talk with you again.
Because a vision softly creeping.
Left its seeds while I was sleeping.
And the vision that was planted in my brain
Still remains
Within the sound of silence
In restless dreams I walked alone.

Reposted from @eleanorgeorgee NEW PONY.

Once I had a pony, her name was Lucifer
I had a pony, her name was Lucifer
She broke her leg and she needed shooting
I swear it hurt me more than it could ever have hurted her.

Sometimes I wonder what's going on in the mind of Miss X
Sometimes I wonder what's going on in the mind of Miss X
You know she got such a sweet disposition
I never know what the poor girl's gonna do to me next.

I got a new pony, she knows how to fox-trot, lope and pace
Well, I got a new pony, she knows how to fox-trot, lope and pace
She got great big hind legs
And long black shaggy hair above her face.

I’m at risk of sounding like a stereotypical Brit talking about the weather but it’s been so gorgeous this past week I can’t believe it’s been the end of February. While I hate how cold it is when it snows, there was part of me that was hoping for another “beast from the east” so I could have some extra time off work. Surely that’s not just me? 🤨

Anyway, when I was growing up I always had this picture by my auntie @eleanorgeorgee in my bedroom, so it felt fitting to put it back where it belonged, staring down on me as I sleep! Because it’s perfectly normal to have monsters in your bedroom... - - -
