POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

Can’t believe it’s already January. Still reflecting upon and processing the richness that was November!

Upon completing my first ever tour, I had the huge honor of performing in 2 local venues that I’d been wanting to perform in for years!

First up, my official last stop of the tour was a full-band show at @bar_dkdc ✨ I performed with a group of amazing, splendid, goofy, and kind musicians I have been so lucky to call friends and collaborators for almost 5 years now!!! (And in the case of @midori_drums,17 years :)) @halkonohana and @electricalwell so graciously opened with a heart wrenching, head-bopping, ethereal/punky set and I’m so proud to have witnessed that magic!

Then, I ended the month playing at @crosstownarts Green Room with @iamaybil 🫶 We are so grateful to have collaborated to put together the type of show we’d both individually been dreaming of - sharing stripped-down versions of our songs and the stories behind them to a super attentive audience, complete with a nature-reflective backdrop. Y’all came and shared yourselves with us, giving vibes, catharses, tears, and laughter. From the bottom of my heart, thank you!! ❤️❤️

Slides:
1. With the band right before the @bar_dkdc show - @pyrrhic_vic , Dee Torrell, @ethanbaker.music @midori_drums 🙂
2. Post-show sillies; technologically-challenged millennials attempting to capture everyone in a selfie using a new phone lol
3. @halkonohana and @electricalwell act
4. @kzmusique full band video
5. Classy posing with @iamaybil post show
6. Classy posing with @iamaybil and @ethanbaker.music post show

A sincere thank you to everyone who came out to a show, or has supported and encouraged me at any point!! Please know that I appreciate you greatly! 🙏❤️

clarity is out now!!

i started writing this EP 4 years ago, alone in my room with my acoustic guitar. after a couple years of playing shows and saving up, i got the wonderful opportunity to record it. im so happy with how it turned out, and i hope you all will love it as much as i do.

although these 6 songs are all about different things, there is one common theme - longing for clarity (hence the name clarity 😁). trying to find a sense of peace in such a chaotic world can feel impossible sometimes, whether that be with relationships, mental health, work, etc. i hope a song on this project, or maybe the whole thing, can help you find some sort of clarity. i know it’s helped me :)

thank you to my band @shagtimus_prime @theseareourforestswearenotkind @electricalwell for making these songs feel so full, and being patient with me during the process of turning these songs from songs id play solo, to songs i play with you all.

thank you to matt qualls for making my dream a reality and creating this project with me. you made the studio feel like such a safe space and there’s no one else i would’ve wanted to make this EP with!

thank you to my friends and family for your endless support. whether it be helping me run the merch table, letting me take pictures at your house, or being a in a stupid promo video - yall make all of this possible :)

thanks to @b.r.b.photography_ for helping in all the ways that you do. shooting my cover art, burning my cds, printing my cd covers, plus countless other things you’ve helped with. u rock🤞

and thanks to everyone who has listened, come to shows, or supported this my music in any way. your support - big or small - has given me the courage to release this project

thanks thanks thanks

hope u find clarity

bye!

Playing music in Memphis for a long time means that every time you run into someone you haven’t seen for a while they ask you “Who are you playing with these days?”

Well I don’t think I have ever been more proud of anything I’ve ever been involved with than this here record. My SEVENTEEN YEAR OLD sister @annarosebmusic has some of the best songwriting chops of any musician in this town and playing bass for her is a huge honor.

My brothers @jomescandy and @electricalwell are her backing band, The Sad Girls, and we are all so pleased to birth this collection of songs into the world for your listening pleasure. Grab a hanky and treat yourself to the future of Memphis music.
