DAY 22! 🔥❄️⛄️ Okay… maybe slightly too much energy for what was actually a very uneventful day. 😂 Today was basically 11 hours of driving. I left Colesberg in the Free State and made the long journey through to KZN ahead of the KZN Amateur. And somehow, the weather decided to throw absolutely everything at me. ❄️ Multiple snowstorms 💨 Heavy winds with gusts reaching around 70 km/h 🌧️ Plenty of rain 🚗 And a LOT of driving After spending 11 hours in the car, the body was definitely feeling it. So once I arrived, the priority was recovery and making sure I get myself moving properly again before getting into tournament preparation. Tomorrow it’s back to the golf, getting settled, preparing for the KZN Amateur, and getting ready for another tournament. No money earned or raised today, but sometimes the journey is simply about getting yourself to the next destination. 💰 Raised today: R0 🎯 Total raised: R1,600 / R40,000 The driving is done. Time to get ready for the next challenge. See you tomorrow for Day 23. 🇿🇦⛳ #RoadTo40000 #Golf #KZNAmateur #GolfLife #TournamentGolf

Day 18: The Road to R40,000 ⛳🌦️ Today was all about preparation both on and off the golf course. This morning, I played the practice round for the Southern Cape Open at Mossel Bay Golf Club. The weather definitely kept us guessing, with rain, strong wind, and the occasional bit of sunshine all in the same round. It made for some challenging conditions, but it was a great opportunity to learn the course and prepare for the tournament ahead. We also managed to film some content, so there’ll be plenty of behind-the-scenes footage and tournament golf coming to the YouTube channel soon. Off the course, there was some encouraging news. Following yesterday’s outreach on LinkedIn, I received a few responses from people interested in learning more about what I’m building. I spent some time following up with those conversations to see where there could be opportunities to work together. I finished the evening by continuing my outreach and making new connections. Building a golf career and a YouTube channel takes more than just playing tournaments. It’s about creating relationships and consistently putting yourself out there. 💰 Raised today: R0 📈 Total raised: R300 / R40,000 Every conversation, every round, and every video is another step towards the goal. #Golf #SouthernCapeOpen #MosselBayGolfClub #RoadTo40000 #YouTubeJourney ⛳🎥

Day 17: The Road to R40,000 ⛳📈 Today was the final round of the Cape Province Open, and I’m happy to say I finished on a much better note. I shot a level-par 72 to finish T42, which was a solid comeback after the struggles of the first two rounds. It’s always satisfying to finish a tournament with some positive momentum, and it gives me confidence heading into the next event. After the round, I packed up and made the drive through to Mossel Bay, where the next part of the journey begins. The evening wasn’t about golf, it was about building the dream. I spent a few hours reaching out to people on LinkedIn, making new connections, and starting conversations about potential sponsorship opportunities. I also had a really encouraging call with someone who could potentially become involved in my YouTube journey. Nothing is confirmed yet, but it’s exciting to see these conversations starting to happen. No money was earned or raised today, but every email, phone call, and new connection is another step towards making this dream sustainable. 💰 Raised today: R0 📈 Total raised: R300 / R40,000 One tournament finished. The next one starts soon, and the work never stops. #Golf #CapeProvinceOpen #TournamentGolf #RoadTo40000 #GolfLife ⛳🔥

Day 16: I made the Cut‼️ ⛳📊 Today started away from the golf course. Before heading out, I spent some time going through my budgets and making sure everything is still on track. This is now my third tournament in a row, with two more coming up over the next two weeks and plenty more scheduled over the next month and a half. Chasing the dream of professional golf isn’t just about playing good golf. It’s about managing travel, accommodation, entry fees, and all the costs that come with competing week after week. Making sure I’m staying on top of that side of things is just as important as the practice. After that, it was time for Round 2 of the Cape Province Open at George Golf Club. I shot 78 (+6) today, which puts me at +10 through 36 holes. It wasn’t the score I was looking for, but the important thing is that I made the cut and earned the opportunity to keep competing over the final round. Making cuts matters. As an amateur, every tournament is a chance to earn ranking points, improve my standing nationally, and continue progressing towards my long-term goal of turning professional. Not every round is going to be great, but every round is an opportunity to learn, compete, and move forward. 💰 Raised today: R0 📈 Total raised: R300 / R40,000 The weekend rounds await. Time to keep fighting. #Golf #CapeProvinceOpen #GeorgeGolfClub #TournamentGolf #RoadTo40000 ⛳🔥📈

Day 15: The Road to R40,000 ⛳📈 Today was the first round of the Cape Province Open. I finished the day at 76 (+4), which leaves me T35 after round one. It was a challenging day, especially on the greens. They were firm on approach shots but surprisingly slow when putting, which made it difficult to fully trust the reads and pace throughout the round. It’s one of those conditions where you’re constantly learning and adjusting as the day goes on. There were definitely some positives to take away though. The work I’ve been putting into my swing is starting to show, and I’m continuing to build confidence in my ball striking and positioning around the course. After the round, I spent some time working on a few areas of my game before heading back to get some admin done. The evening was spent sending emails, following up on opportunities, and scheduling work for tomorrow morning. No money was earned or raised today, but the work continues both on and off the course. 💰 Raised today: R0 📈 Total raised: R300 / R40,000 One round down. Plenty of golf left to play. #Golf #CapeProvinceOpen #TournamentGolf #GolfLife #RoadTo40000 ⛳🔥🏌️‍♂️

Day 14: The Road to R40,000 ⛳📈 Today was a fairly quiet one. The morning started slow. it was Sunday, so I took the opportunity to ease into the day before heading out for a practice round at George Golf Club ahead of the next tournament. The course is pretty wet at the moment, which is definitely going to make things interesting, especially around the greens. It’s going to require a bit of adjustment and some smart decision-making throughout the week. One positive from today was how the swing felt. After some really productive work on the range yesterday, I’m starting to feel much more comfortable with where things are heading. I can already see improvements in getting the ball into better positions off the tee and setting myself up for more scoring opportunities. Those small improvements might not show up immediately on the scorecard, but they’re the building blocks that lead to better golf over time. Finished the day with a relaxed evening and getting ready for the week ahead. 💰 Raised today: R0 📈 Total raised: R300 / R40,000 Slow day, solid progress, and another step forward. #Golf #GeorgeGolfClub #GolfLife #TournamentGolf #RoadTo40000 ⛳🔥

Day 13: The Road to R40,000 ⛳🎥 Today was all about recovery, preparation, and creating content. I started the morning slow with some stretching and recovery work after a busy few weeks of travel, practice, and tournament golf. Taking care of the body is just as important as the hours spent practicing. After that, I headed to the range to work on a few things in my swing before taking on 9 holes at Knysna Golf Club. The exciting part is that I filmed the entire round for YouTube, so you’ll be able to come along for the experience and see what golf in Knysna is really like from a player’s perspective. To finish off the day, I spent some time on the putting green, continuing to work on one of the most important parts of scoring. No money was earned or raised today, but content was created, practice was done, and we’re continuing to build towards something bigger every day. 💰 Raised today: R0 📈 Total raised: R300 / R40,000 One day at a time. One video at a time. One step closer to the goal. #Golf #KnysnaGolfClub #GolfLife #YouTubeJourney #RoadTo40000 ⛳🎥🔥

Day 12: The Road to R40,000 ⛳🚗 Today didn’t go quite as planned on the golf side, as I missed the cut at the SA Stroke Play Championship. Golf can be a tough game, but every tournament teaches you something. The important thing is taking those lessons, moving forward, and getting ready for the next opportunity. This morning, I packed up and made the drive through to Knysna, where the next chapter of the journey begins. Along the way, I stopped off to get some work done, sending emails, doing outreach, and continuing conversations with potential partners and supporters for the project. Building this channel and pursuing tournament golf means making progress both on and off the course. Later in the evening, I had the opportunity to be part of the Members Night at Knysna Golf Club, which was a great chance to connect with golfers, share the journey, and spend time around people who love the game. No money was earned or raised today, but the work behind the scenes continues. 💰 Raised today: R0 📈 Total raised: R300 / R40,000 One tournament ends, another opportunity begins. On to the next one. 🇿🇦⛳ #Golf #KnysnaGolfClub #TournamentGolf #GolfLife #RoadTo40000
