Tell us, @elenaresko — what does being creative mean to you?

"It means seeing beauty in the weirdest things and the most unexpected places. And eventually, hopefully, transforming it into your own work."

In #8 of our Creative Sips series, @elenaresko takes us into her world of vibrant colors, bold shapes, and her love for spicy cocktails and Julia Child ✨🌶️

With our Creative Sips series, artists interpret a Mikks drink through the medium of their choice. Because when we taste or smell something, it sparks memories, emotions, and ideas. This time, Elena shows us what she sees when enjoying a Vodka Chili Passion.

Creativity plays a huge role at Mikks. We designed Mikks so that with just two products, you can recreate your favorite drinks, and so much more, at home. More importantly, Mikks gives you the freedom to get creative yourself and share that experience with the people around you ❤️

Who would you enjoy a Vodka Chili Passion with? 🍸

Phew, what a lot of drawings! This is the last set of over sixty illustrations making up our animated walking characters, inspired by Berlin. It’s amazing that so many artists set aside their time to contemplate what it means to be a Berliner and make their style fit into a walking pose. Enjoy these awesome characters and hold your breath for our next post: animation!

At the height of midsummer, @illustrationladies_berlin and @panimationberlin got together for a screening party at @ministry_of_animation_moa

For the first time, the artists behind every individual character drawn in an assigned walk pose were able to see their characters stomping in harmony with dozens of others. For several illustrators involved, this was their first time dipping their toes into animation magic. For those who planned the project, the outcome would be equally mysterious and full of surprises...
Attendees also had the chance to closely inspect all of the characters that @johannimation took the time to print, assemble and drape across the room – a mélange between a giant film strip and festival bunting.
MoA gave us the warmest welcome with scrummy homemade pizza, and cooling drinks. Thank you MoA for your generosity, for helping us to set up and take down our decorations, and for providing such a perfectly cosy and artistic venue for this colourful occasion.

This was a beautiful occasion for members from @illustrationladies_berlin and @panimationberlin to meet, especially once the participants who attended had shared a few words about their frame and the uniqueness of Berlin that they drew upon for their inspiration.

Bringing artists together in the flesh is increasingly precious. We look forward to the next collaboration and the next occasion to come together.

Stay tuned because we will share the full video and the individual artworks with you very soon.
