LOCAL BUSINESS SUPPORT… 1,000+ MILES AWAY!

This is one of those moments that just hits different as a small business owner.

A fellow local business owner was on vacation last week at Carnival Cruise Line’s private island when he spotted something familiar… one of my custom ROC DJ Booths!

But there are TWO things that make this post special:

First, this guy is AWESOME. I see the work he and his family put into their own local business every single weekend. I know firsthand the long hours, sacrifices, and dedication that come with building something of your own.

Second, he was ON VACATION and still took the time to stop, grab pictures of my booth, and make sure they got back to me.

Think about that for a second.

Something that started as an idea right here in Southeast Ohio is now sitting on a Carnival Cruise Line private island, and another Southeast Ohio business owner happens to spot it while on vacation.

That’s pretty freaking cool.

Archie’s HomeONE was a success!⚾️

We love Archie more than words could do justice, and getting to share his special day with so many of our friends and family members was truly icing on the smash cake.

We are so grateful for the friendships, support and family we have had guiding us all through this last year— it truly takes a village to raise a family and we have a wonderful one at that!

Small business ownership is not easy. 💁🏼‍♀️✨

You see the installs. The big jobs. The “we’re so busy!” moments. The pretty pink storefront. The packed van. The celebrations. 🎈🚐💕

What you don’t always see?

The double rent.
The build-out costs.
The zoning approvals.
The payroll.
The taxes.
The insurance.
The van payments.
The inventory.
The CRM subscriptions.
The accountants.
The late nights wondering if I’m doing this right… or just faking it until I make it. 😅

Oh — and I’m also just a girl with three kiddos, an amazing husband who travels a lot for work, and a life outside of ballooning. (I know… how dare I? 😂)

This past year has been a wild ride. We moved into our dream space to create room for retail and growth — while still paying rent at our old location.

And this week… I wrote those final checks. 🙌🏼💃🏼

That chapter? Closed. ✔️

To the people who understand and adjust and support (my team, my friends + fam, my clients, and my balloon babes across the country) — THANK YOU. 🤍
To the ones who see a big job and assume it’s all profit — I promise you, it’s never that simple!

This spring feels different. 🌸

Big expenses behind us.
New zoning approved.
New faces on the team.
Extended hours.
New systems.
New dreams.

And this month we hit FIVE YEARS of Pop VB… can we just take a second for that?! 🥹🎉

Five years. What?! How did that even happen?

They say this is the year of shedding. 🐍 I rolled my eyes at first… but life has a funny way of proving you wrong.

Shedding isn’t dramatic.
It’s standards getting higher.
It’s releasing what quietly held you back.
It’s choosing growth over comfort.

We’re not just going through the motions.

We’re scaling. 🚀✨
