The two most meaningful cakes I've ever made!

My dear friend @elevatedeats_kc hosts Mom Meals where he cooks a delicious family meal for a mom in need -- all in memory of his own wonderful mom, Sharon. The meals are free to the family, he only requires: 1) that the mother picks the menu & 2) the entire family gathers for a special meal together.

This week @elevatedeats_kc put out fillers for a chocolate cake, special request of the mom. It was my joy to try my hand at a Triple Chocolate Cake (and a fun cookie cake, of course) for my friend's wonderful charity.

I had no clue the cakes were going to a sweet friend (who I met thru this cookie page) and her family. I had no clue the cookie cake fiesta design would match the mom's dress -- that she wore on her honeymoon many years ago & again for her Mom Meal. 💕 I had no clue a few cookies and cakes could connect me to so many amazing people, @courtneyfalk !

Happy Mother's Day!

Committed to patient care… and questionable survival skills on ice. 😆🪡

No weather, no wipeout, no questionable footwork can stop us from showing up and delivering the best care! Dr. Vargas and the team are here—bruises (to our egos) and all—to make sure our patients get the flawless results they deserve.

Would we do it again? Absolutely. Would we prefer a salt truck escort? Not gonna lie… yes. 😂
