New York didn’t invent House music, but it gave the genre room to grow into something deeply human. In basements, lofts, and late night clubs, DJs shaped a sound rooted in emotion, rhythm, and shared experience. The music moved slowly, trusted the crowd, and allowed stories to unfold over time rather than chasing quick reactions.

What made the New York scene special wasn’t just the sound, but the spaces around it. Dancefloors became places of safety, expression, and connection, where community came before visibility. Long before House music reached the mainstream, it existed here as a living culture, taught by the room.

💙 Episode 6 of @stateofflux.sound is here, and we can’t wait to return to @thesanctuaryecoretreat — this time with a special guest coming all the way from America.

🌀 We are thrilled to present, for the first time in Italy, the Miami and NYC-based DJ and producer @ka.ny.kei, who also curates unforgettable electronic music experiences with her @aionia_music collective and event series.

Her signature sound blends deep and techno influences with an indie dance spirit, showcased in her latest release on Berlin’s renowned @katermukke label.

Join us for a journey through diverse sounds — where culture, passion, and deep digging collide.
Get ready for an explosion of energy. See you on the dancefloor!
