been really sitting with this experience and what I want to say about it all. I’ve been finding that words can not fully describe the beautiful feelings I have about these powerful women I spent 3 days with and the journey we took together. I’ve never been more inspired, poured into and SEEN. @skinsculpting_facialist is an absolute genius, incredibly thoughtful and always one step ahead. she took a group of women and gave them a safe space to connect, push themselves out of their comfort zones, and truly experience everything in the moment. I’m incredibly grateful for not only Kim, but the wonderful friends I was able to deepen relationships with and the fears I personally overcame while there. horseback riding was never on my bucket list😆. But we did it!

Feeling so so thankful to be included, cared for and ultimately UNDONE. A perfect moment, a sacred vortex, a needed connection.

my wonderful retreat roommate @sophiaimageco is a color analyst and found all of our colors 💚💛🧡💙🩵🤎. I always thought I was a winter, turns out I’m a light spring. excited to incorporate these into my life more.

Kim set aside time with each of us for a personalized facial massage. My favorite part of the whole trip.

I created this retreat while working through my own fear of being seen. I let myself take up space, share what I’m good at, and bring the vision to life. These women reminded me of my tenacity and to be more of whatever I want to be. In their presence I was safe 🥹

UNDONE Esthetician Retreat

@skinsculpting_facialist provided a dreamy, safe place for us to become UNDONE. And in letting go, we were and felt SEEN. 🥹

I discovered I was cool • deep • intense • full-bodied… a Deep Winter! 🎨

I was seen as courageous, gentle, loving, calm, a great listener and storyteller, radiant, strong, and a beautiful soul filled with kindness, love, and compassion. 😭😭😭

We conquered fears, expressed difficult emotions, engaged, pondered, and shared ideas, thoughts, and dreams. We left work behind and laughed, played, and were free to just BE.

It was hard to leave these amazing women and the incredible, magical vortex of uplifting energy we created together. ✨

Thank you, Kim, for bringing us all together for a truly unforgettable experience. Thank you for seeing in us what we may not yet see in ourselves, for caring for us, protecting us, and always lifting us higher. 🥹❤️

Still reeling from the most incredible weekend at Somaura. 🤍

I truly couldn’t have asked for a more amazing group of women to share this experience with. There’s something so special about what happens when women come together, slow down, and create space to connect with themselves and each other.

One of my favorite things was hearing how relaxed, refreshed, and rejuvenated everyone felt afterward.

And while I wish we could all be on retreat every day, I think that’s what makes these experiences so meaningful. We spend so much of our lives caught up in to-do lists, responsibilities, and constantly being on the go. Sometimes we need to intentionally step away from it all, give our nervous systems a chance to settle, and reconnect with nature, with others, and most importantly, with ourselves.

I also couldn’t have brought this weekend to life without the incredible friends and facilitators who shared their gifts with us.

🌿 @elevationeating - For the most delicious farm-to-table meals that nourished us all weekend, and the beautiful food activations that helped us connect with our food on a deeper level.

For me, nourishment is paying attention.

Paying attention to what I eat, where it comes from, how I prepare it, what season I’m in, and how my body feels while I’m eating it.

I spent years in the military learning to move quickly, override signals, accomplish the task, and keep going. Now the kitchen is one of the places where I practice something different: noticing, choosing, preparing, receiving.

Cooking your own food also gets you thinking more about everything that had to happen before food ever reached the plate; the soil, water, farmers, animals, hands, transportation, and time behind it. That awareness has changed the way I eat. It reminds me that food can be a relationship, not just another task to finish.

TCM has given me another lens for that relationship: eating with the seasons, noticing warmth and coolness, appetite, energy, digestion, and how my needs change from day to day instead of expecting my body to want the exact same thing all the time.

Sometimes nourishment looks like making broth. Sometimes it’s grinding spices by hand, baking bread, preparing something ahead for a lower-energy day, making ice cream, or simply sitting down long enough to actually taste what I made.

The goal isn’t to make food another thing to do perfectly.

It’s to bring more presence, care, pleasure, and intention to something I have to do every day anyway.

What changes when you stop treating eating like another task to get through?
