ELEVATOR PROGRAM ARTIST SPOTLIGHT // ETHOS

A milestone release from the Elevator Program label.

Back in 2023, Ethos delivered a powerful EP, Devils Paradise, that climbed to #1 on the Beatport Techno Peak Time charts. It was 1 year between when ETHOS joined the artist development program to having his first #1 spot. A huge achievement and a testament to what happens when great music meets relentless dedication.

We're proud to have been part of the journey.

Finally got some equipment to record live streams. Sound checking new work. Is the bass too loud? 💖☘️🪩✨

Stop arranging with your eyes.

One thing that helped me finish more tracks was turning my arrangement screen off.

When you can't see the timeline, you're forced to listen instead of chasing the "perfect" arrangement.

Using my MIDI controllers, I can record a rough structure in one pass while staying in the flow.

It doesn't have to be perfect. It's all about getting the track to evolve naturally, using the sounds and the feeling to guide you.

Once the idea is there, then I go back, fine-tune transitions, automate, and polish the details.

Sometimes, the fastest way out of the loop is to stop looking at it.

Note: Flicky hand movements are optional.
