Dancers, your body is your INSTRUMENT 🎷

Do you treat it like one?

CHANGE OF DIRECTION

Changing direction isn’t just about being fast.
It’s about control.

If you can’t slow down in choreo, absorb force properly, and bounce back into it efficiently, you’ll always feel a step behind.

Try these 3 exercises to train this:
SPLIT SQUAT JUMP
Perform 20 seconds each leg x 3 rounds

DEPTH DROP TO BOX JUMP
Perform 7 reps x 4-5 sets; rest for 1 min

ROTATIONAL BROAD JUMP TO HEIDEN
Perform 3-5 each side x 4-5 sets; rest for 1 min

Train the brakes.
Train the speed.
Train how your body redirects force.

That’s how you’ll move cleaner, safer, and with ease.

HITTING YOUR LEVELS

Is hitting your levels something you struggle with as a dancer?

It requires strength, mobility, and coordination. When we lack any of these, your movement might not be what you expect it to be.

Try these 3 exercises;

ALTERNATING CURTSY LUNGE
LOW SWITCH COSSACK SQUAT
SHORT / MID / LONG RANGE LUNGE

Exposure to low LEVELS leads to moving confidently in your performance, no matter where your next move takes you.

Hey friends 朋友們.

👋

i can’t believe it’s grad season again, it still seems to me June 2022 was just yesterday:( but.. here i am, posting the pictures i never got to share.

The last bit of my college journey ended kind of unexpectedly, i had to make a series of life changing decisions and - long story short - i have decided to continue traveling around the world to find my next home, just like i have for the past 23 years of my life. Sorry if i haven’t said proper goodbyes to my lovely friends, i wasn’t in a great place and i hope you understand.

Anyways, i am dedicating these pictures to my lockdown council, my dumb roommates, my stu, my first friends, and so many more. I wouldn’t have become who i am today without all of you by my side, and i definitely wouldn’t have the courage to continue my journey without knowing you are all rooting for me.

Please stay well, and i hope all ourr paths will cross again, soon.

珍重再見,
CYW

thanks @selenadltphotography for the amazing picture:)

Flawless victory… A HA HA
//
Absolutely amazing experience at my first ever competition. Thank you so much to the directors for your guidance and thank you everyone for sticking together even past midnight to keep each other sane. I gotta say though, FRESHmobile = best mobile 😎 I’m so glad I got to meet all of you through dance, and I wouldn’t have it any other way 🫶🫶
