Decided to take pictures of my process making these @elfminiatures kitchen taps(faucets)using my twindling metal supplies.I still like how they look, I know resin printed versions are sooo good nowadays, but I think these still hold their own, what do you think? #miniatures #modelmaking #dollhouseminiatures #miniaturekitchen #oneinchscale

Come with me to visit the exquisite miniature made by @mulvanyandrogers of @leightonsambournemuseums - 4 years in the making, blood, sweat and maybe tears and the result is one of the greatest miniature ever made - the detail is outstanding - the mosaic, tiles, gold leaf, banisters, lighting - you really can’t tell if you are in the actual Arab Hall or the mini. Kevin and Susie poured their souls into this piece before the addition of the oil paintings from Canada and around the world, furniture, rugs and of course the peacock 🦚 all made by the crème de la crème of miniature artists - @geoffwonnacott @francinecoyon @pajutee_miniatures Sergio Macedo netto to name but a few. It’s now off to its forever home but I feel so lucky to have seen it twice - first @kensingtondollshouse in May and then last week in London at Leighton House with @juliettehoughton65 and @elfminiatures which we planned whilst on our miniature harp making course with Geoff Wonnocott back in May - followed by a wonderful lunch where all we discussed was the house and minis - heaven #miniature #miniaturist #babyhouse #artist

Finally unwrapped all my @kensingtondollshouse treasures today - lucky me! Highlights were the tiniest shells 🐚, my Christmas tree, two metal chairs from Lucy Askew, 144th ghosts, bees 🐝 snails 🐌 and butterflies 🦋 and the silver trophy 🏆 and a fish bowl I’d ordered but forgotten about - and more pelargoniums to fill my Orangerie - followed by bread and Champagne with Lucy and Rebecca - it was all miniature heaven - tiny treats of joy and wonder - thank you Charlotte - In no particular order… @entrancedglass @mslucyclayton @shepherdminiatures @theshepherdshutengland @floraldecormini @smalltime_miniatures @hornerjen2019 @sayitwithflowersminiatures @la_stleger @larabyng_fineartminiatures @mytinyminiobsession @geoffwonnacott @mulvanyandrogers @monicasmaisonette @bearcubminiatures @painterleekate @melissamakesminis @ahmedbinkhalid @miniature_popup_book_new @chadgoebel and anyone I’ve forgotten xxx 😘

Some of my beautiful purchases from @kensingtondollshouse last weekend.
I very naughtily snuck away from our stand a few times over the weekend and made a few little purchases. ☺️🤫

The gluggle jugs and the Fornasetti inspired reed diffuser are from my lovely friend and talented model maker Beth of @elfminiatures @myminimaisoninsta

I also found two pairs of scissors, one from @giuliasminis and the other from Truly Scrumptious Miniatures to add to my mini scissors collection.

A very cute ceramic cat from @tumdee_miniatures

The incredible teeny tiny moths are made by the extremely talented @alison.ratty

And finally, the gorgeous bread bin and canal wear style coal hod is from the lovely, and again, extremely talented @victoriafasken

Absolutely love Beth’s modern minis! Always so beautifully made and just so cute!
I’m thinking ahead with the table which will be going in the house I hauled back from Chicago last year in a suitcase! It’s going to be full of colour… Just need to build it! The Orla Kiely kitchen bits will be taking pride of place in my Beach House kitchen. Hmmmm, that’s not finished yet either!! 😂 I couldn’t resist the Pride & Prejudice mug as I live in the village where Jane Austen was born!!
