The making of the football jacket- part 2

“The Good Wife” jacket, the first piece of our heritage collection. @elheworld

This is the making of the prototype:

it took me 3 weeks

piece by piece

the original plan was to use old footballs

But in order to get flat pattern pieces, it had to be ALL hexagons

So it’s actually a honeycomb construction

but the important part is it LOOKS like footballs

this is also a custom pattern

With fully quilted lining

It’s super warm!

Plus a structured collar (watching the good wife)

finally putting it together

cannot believe I brought my vision to reality
