Had a great session with @_elipresley yesterday, working a ton on follow through and consistency. One thing we noticed and worked on was Eli getting to feel the sensation of using his core. This played a major part in him being able to stick his finish and allow him to be more consistent with his follow through.

Along with that, we also worked on where his hands should finish, and how his hands should come off the ball. Once again, nailing this down gives your snap a ton of consistency and makes you reliable for your special teams in the long run.

Had the pleasure of working with Class of 27 McKinney High School Long snapper Eli Presley. Overall, he has a solid snap, but felt he tried to “muscle” it to the punter, which is pretty common, but causes a lack of control. Eli already throws a solid ball, but getting him to use his body effectively and efficiently was our main concern. We noticed that he would tend to jump/slide during his snap and not fully extend his legs, which both can take velocity and consistency out of your snap, so these were big talking points of the day.

After some drills and talking, Eli overall had better control over his ball, and even when he threw one he wasn’t happy with, he knew the reason. His attention to detail was very good and I’m excited to continue to work with him while he hammers down the details.
