SHARED RAIN // Jennifer Archibald's New York City Ballet debut premieres in just a few hours during this evening's Fall Fashion Gala with costumes by designer Robert Wun. When asked by Brian Seibert of the New York Times about taking this first commission for the company, Archibald shared how genuinely meaningful the experience has been. “It feels like the work paid off,” she said, “like in all of my unorthodox ways of operating, I must have done something right.” Read the full profile on Archibald's new ballet at the #linkinbio. Photo: Gili Benita (@gilibenita) for @nytimes @jarchdance @robertwun #sharedrain #nycbfallgala #nycb #nycballet #newyorkcityballet

FLASH FOOTAGE // The Four Temperaments is one of George Balanchine’s most revered, signature leotard ballets with each movement referencing the medieval concept of psychological humors. Soloist India Bradley and Corps de Ballet Member Eli Raphael Gruska were striking in their debut performance of the distinctly modern opening theme. There’s still time to see The Four Temperaments as part of the program in our Masters at Work I series this fall. SHARED RAIN // As we count down the days to next week's Fall Fashion Gala, we spoke with members of the cast of Jennifer Archibald's Shared Rain, her first work for NYCB, which makes its world premiere on October 1. From reflections on the first few days in the studio to a mutual sense of self-discovery throughout the rehearsal process, the dancers offer a glimpse into what we can expect to see onstage. "To me, ‘shared rain’ could also be about vulnerability while being caught in the same storm as someone else," says Soloist Jules Mabie. "Sometimes finding comfort in another person and sometimes struggling against them, but ultimately sharing the same space, the same weather, and the same experience.” Reserve remaining tickets to the Fall Fashion Gala performance on October 1 to witness the world premiere of Shared Rain in collaboration with designer Robert Wun. Tap the #linkinbio to read more about the collaborative process, and visit nycballet.com/fallgala to learn more and purchase tickets. The 2026 Fall Fashion Gala is generously sponsored by Wells Fargo. The Red Carpet is sponsored by Mikimoto. Photo: Erin Baiano (@erinbaiano) @laurrencollett @eli.raphael @julesmabie @jarchdance #jenniferarchibald #sharedrain #nycb #nycballet #newyorkcityballet
