Blue Knights, what a summer. This group of students never doubted the process. They pushed us just as much as we pushed them. The BEST humans I have had the pleasure of working with, both members and percussion staff. I have grown immensely as both an educator and human being just by surrounding myself with all of you. The cohesion within the ENTIRE percussion team is unmatched. Also - Let’s not forget about that finals lot crowd… I wouldn’t have it any other way! #MFBK 🔵⚪️

Well kids, yesterday I passed on the BPD Instagram page and let the moms know that I’ve officially wrapped up my time at Boswell High School.

I was at Lamar High School when Mr. Pease handed me the cordless phone. (We were so excited about it!) It was Dimas Delgado, and he wanted to chat about coming to Boswell. I was like, “What is a Boswell?” I had never heard of them before, so I took a chance, and Tyler and I rolled into Boswell in August 2011.

At Lamar, we really dove into all the different aspects of percussion education.

When we started at Boswell, it was business as usual : marching band, then all-region, followed by holiday percussion ensemble concerts and holiday band concerts. Then, in 2012, we started designing and producing our indoor drumline production, Zombie Prom. As I mentioned earlier at Lamar, we did it all. So, we knew that indoor percussion is the best way to empower and inspire students and the community.

So, we went for it, and 15 years later, Boom we’re Boswell!

Thanks to everyone who’s on this post. Sorry if I missed anyone; it stopped me at 20. People are what make this work, and we were lucky to have some of the best join us.

Lastly thank you to the parents. In my interview for Burleson I told the principal that kids are the easy part. Getting the parents to buy in and trust your vision is the real key to success at this level. You parents were absolutely amazing and we will forever be grateful to all parents that help me and Tyler start the indoor group as well as the ride or dies who were with us though this past school year. I have built my career on the shoulders of you parents and for that I am forever grateful.

Colorado 2026 -
“But under it all they were men, penetrating the land of desolation and mockery and silence, puny adventurers bent on colossal adventure, pitting themselves against the might of a world as remote and alien and pulseless as the abysses of space.”

This season was so challenging is so many ways for me, which only made it more rewarding in the end. I am eternally grateful that I had the opportunity to lead a group that I pedestal so much, and having the best friends in the world to have my back when I needed them. The trust I felt in this group was undeniable.

This activity has given me everything, now it’s my turn to give back. Gonna miss it a lot.

I have a lot I could say but I’ll keep it brief. I want to thank @yasuduh @zach.da.swanky and @lucas.bollenbecker and the whole pulse staff for welcoming me into Pulse and being great educators. I also want to thank the snareline for accepting me into the Pulse family. I owe so much to everyone who has supported me through the season.

And lastly, I want to thank @mimo_drums and @chandlerdenzel for making the whole season completely worth it.
