🎓 BUTTERS IS GRADUATING! 🎓

After three weeks of Board & Train, everyone’s favorite little Frenchie is headed home! 🥹💜

Butters came to us to work on some important lady-like behavior—housebreaking, crate training, keeping all four paws on the floor, and learning that the cat and her doggy sibling do not always appreciate the full-contact Butters experience. 😂

She also put in tons of work learning how to settle, stay calm, and make good choices around distractions. We took those skills on the road, practicing in all kinds of new places with different sights, sounds, people, and excitement happening around her.

And in true Butters fashion, she managed to turn training into one big adventure. 🐾 She explored new places, worked hard, had plenty of fun, and kept us laughing along the way.

We’re going to miss that squishy little face and BIG personality around here, but this isn’t goodbye! We’re already looking forward to seeing Miss Butters again for her follow-up lessons and watching her keep building on everything she learned. 💕

Congratulations, Butters! 🎓🐾

Sometimes the best training doesn’t look like much at all. 👏 Volume up for the full effect!

Butters is practicing a long down in the middle of a busy store — loudspeaker announcements overhead, carts rattling by, people talking, and even her handler stopping to have conversations with strangers.

The goal isn’t necessarily for her to pretend none of it exists.

You’ll see Butters look when something catches her attention. She’s allowed to notice what’s happening around her. The important part is what happens next: she stays calm, maintains her down, and chooses to bring her attention right back to her handler. 🧈🤍

For a dog who previously struggled with hyperactivity and impulse control, THIS is progress.

Good obedience isn’t about creating a dog who never looks, thinks, or reacts to their environment. It’s about teaching them how to process distractions without losing their mind over them, and how to coexist with people in a public space without being a disruption.

So incredibly proud of Butters and all her progress so far 💕💕

🎶🌟 #BoricuasEnNC #ParrandaBoricua #TradicionesBoricuas
