This afternoon was a bit of a comedy of errors before this moment, after leaving my keys at the boathouse, but thinking I might have left them in a vehicle I had returned to Joint Base Anacostia Boling, or lost in a Lyft between there and the Armory. I even retraced my steps to Howard University and couldn’t find them there so eventually made my way back to the boathouse where I had dropped something off earlier in the day. Luckily the keys were there. Also turns out @demathacrew had rowed down from Bladensburg to load boats on Gonzaga’s trailer for the trip to Tennessee for SRAA’s, and as luck would have it the @stotesregatta 4+ was there! So this is my moment rubbing elbows with champions, turning what otherwise would have been a bad end to the day into a great end to the day! #gostags

I am so blessed to “run it back” with the team. Even better turnout this year than last. Which is amazing!!! @elicummins27 and I got the dub again. Go win it again next year while I’m away. Let’s get more dubs another time boys.

Great last race for our Buccaneers this summer! Congrats to Josiah (stroke) and Eli (bow) on advancing to the semis after their objection was accepted after colliding with CRI in the heat. After technically losing to Riverside in the heat because of the aforementioned interference, they showed everyone in St. Catherines, Ontario that they deserved to race again in the semi-finals. They finished 6th out of 8 crews, beating both Riverside and The Bolles School. Great way to end the season and conclude yet another incredible summer for ROW Bladensburg!!!

Looking forward to seeing how all of our Buccaneers do when they return to their scholastic teams this fall!
