The Jeanberry Granny Square is officially here!

This pattern design idea came to me the other week, and with the help of my incredible testers, it’s finally ready for you!

The name Jeanberry is extra special to me because Jean is the shared middle name of my three daughters. 💕 I love getting to carry a little piece of them into my crochet designs.

Thank you to my amazing testers for helping bring this little idea to life! 🥹

The Jeanberry Granny Square is available now!

✨ Use code JEAN15 for 15% off through Thursday!

I can’t wait to see what you make! 🥰

Heres the #scoop about the Art Trade! Three friends, miles apart, united by a shared love for #Jesus and #crochet.

My two long-distance sisters in Christ and I decided to do a crochet #arttrade. Instead of buying gifts, we each created something by hand and exchanged our work through the #mail. The only thing we paid for was shipping—everything else was made with our time, creativity, and love.

I first met these amazing women through Instagram. After seeing videos of artists trading handmade creations, I posted a note asking, “Who wants to do an art trade?” To my surprise, these two wonderful women reached out. Looking back, I truly believe God brought us together.

We shared ideas, chose colors for one another, and began creating our projects. As we crocheted, we prayed over every stitch. What started as a fun exchange quickly became something much deeper as our friendship grew.

When the time came to ship our packages, I felt both excited and nervous. Sending something handmade across countries felt a little scary, but it was amazing to watch our packages travel and make their way to each other’s homes.

Then came the best part—opening the gifts. It felt like Christmas morning. Seeing the love, effort, and creativity that went into each piece was incredibly touching.

This experience reminded me that friendships don’t have to be physical to be real. God can use creativity to connect hearts across any distance. As Christians, we are made in the image of our Creator, and creativity can be a powerful way to encourage and bless others.

If you’ve ever thought about doing an art trade, I encourage you to try it. And if you have a long-distance friend, consider making something for them and praying over it before you send it.

Thank you for watching, and God bless you.

This pattern test by @curlycreations24 was an absolute pleasure for me!! The Scottish Thistle for me has a story attached to it that includes my Sweet Mom and Grandpa, but that is for another time 😂.

This pattern is adorable and so quick to make!! Coasters are fun and beautiful to make and this one definitely hit those marks for me 💖💖
I enjoyed every single stitch and I know you all would as well. Coasters are handy to have as they are savers of your furniture, no matter what kind of furniture you have.

I learned some very valuable information to me (having Scottish genes surging through me 😂) included in the pattern!!! If you swip through you will see!!
I also learned that the Scottish Thistle came in other beautiful colours!! This is all thanks to @curlycreations24 and her Phenomenal Pattern!!
You really need to click on @curlycreations24 and grab this pattern and a few more!!! Exceptional Designer💖💖💖

I worked with two other testers @crochetbyleahmarie and @eliettemakesstuff , who were both fun and so talented!🤩 Make sure you check out their work 😍
Thanks again @curlycreations24 for allowing me to work with you and these wonderful artists to test your creativity.

If any one is interested in having a set of these magnificent coasters, please don't hesitate to contact me (Cathy) via Crochet Hugs by Cathy (Facebook, Instagram, or just DM me

🎉 OFFICIAL Pattern Release! 🎉

Yes, this pattern was released over a week ago, but it's not had its Instagram official release yet. When I release a pattern as part of a blog hop, I like to give the blog hop its moment, and then do an official release post a couple of days later to show off all of my gorgeous tester's makes (because they deserve to be shown off and recognized!). But, as soon as the Crochet Cancer Challenge Blog Hop ended, I got sick and wasn't feeling up to finishing the graphics and making a post.

But, better late than never! If you like crocheting top-down gender neutral beanie patterns, then this pattern is for you. The pattern has a 2-stitch, 1 row repeat and is written in 5 sizes, meaning it's easy to get into a rhythm, and you can make one for everyone!

This pattern is available free to view on the blog, or the print optimized PDF is available in my @etsy or Ravelry shops (comment "MADE WITH LOVE" to have the links sent directly to your DM).

Plus, in the spirit of the Crochet Cancer Challenge, $1 from each Made with Love pattern sale will be donated to Cancer Support Community Delaware (@cancersupportde), a local non-profit that provides free programming to cancer survivors and caregivers. #crochetforacause

So take a minute to swipe through the photos to see all of my amazing tester's hats, and then go show their pages some love! As always, a big THANK YOU to my testers!
