I never knew how much this sport would change my life. It’s hard to put into words what this game has meant to me because it was never just a sport. It’s been a constant throughout my life and helped shaped who I am both on and off the field. This game gave me experiences I never thought I’d have, took me places I never imagined going, and brought people into my life who became family. Some of my favorite memories, hardest lessons, and proudest moments happened on a softball field. For so long, this game has been part of my everyday life, and it’s hard to imagine life without it. None of this would have been possible without my family. To my parents and my sister, thank you for every early morning, every late night drive, every weekend spent at tournaments, practices, and camps. You gave up so much of your time so I could chase my dream of playing at the college level, and I’ll never be able to thank you enough for that. To Coach Franklin and Coach Cynar, thank you for giving me confidence in myself as a player and for pushing me to reach my goals. To Coach Kenny and Coach Snyder, thank you for all the hours spent helping me get a shot at living out my dreams and for pushing me to be a better person and teammate every day. To Coach K and Coach Wes, thank you for believing in me, even in moments when I didn’t believe in myself. You got me at my lowest and built me back up. You pushed me to be better, held me accountable, and helped shape me into not just the player I became, but the person I am today. To Coach Karli, thank you for believing in me and helping me overcome the doubt. You helped me have fun again. Thank you to my teammates for being there for me through the highs and lows and for giving me some of the best memories. Thank you to everyone who supported me along the way. I hope I’ve made y’all proud. My journey wasn’t easy, and I wouldn’t change a thing. I always said I’d play as long as my body would let me, and it came a little sooner than expected. It’s hard to let go of something I’m not ready to let go of yet. It’s not how I wanted it to end, but it’s in God’s hands now. I’m not sure what’s next for me, but I’m excited to find out. ✌🏼❤️
