My kid choreographed her first show! Come support the arts and the hard work these kids (and teachers) have put into this production! Don’t forget to select Elin in give-student-credit when checking out!

Fantastic trip visiting Peter and Erica in VA! Toured Monticello, apple orchard on top of a mountain, Peter’s office and the campus of UVA, Christmas shenanigans, and getting sweet Leia prepped for her Florida vacation!

NYC 2025 - part 5 - day 2 and 3
1-6. Harry Potter and the Cursed Child. Doing my best to separate the art from the artist and making a donation to The Trevor Project to offset some of the guilt. The staging and magical effects were astounding. A once in a lifetime opportunity to see Tom Felton reprise his role as Draco Malfoy and he (and the rest of the cast) were amazing!
7. The Today Show
8-10. Finally managed to get to Rockefeller Center to see the tree.
11. Ran out of time to see the Saks light show at night but still nice in the AM
12. Final stop was a quick run through the Christmas Market at Bryant Park before heading out for the next leg of our adventure.

NYC part 3 (still day 1 lol)
Trekking through Times Square on our way to grab dinner at Juniors. We then went to see The Great Gatsby, which my Jeremy Jordan (and Newsies) loving kiddos heart happy to see him perform live. He did not disappoint - his voice is next level and my jaw dropped a few times - the show was fantastic and the costumes were incredible! Sadly didn’t get to meet him at stage door but the cast we did meet were absolutely lovely. Finished out the night with a quick visit to Radio City.

NYC part 2
The shows we saw deserve their own spot on the grid:
The Outsiders was truly incredible - it may have moved into my top 2 for shows I’ve seen on Broadway! E read the book in 8th grade and fell in love with it and then fell in love with the music from the show. Even though we are seeing the show in Tampa next week, seeing it on Broadway was tops on the list for adding on if we could. Standing room was 100% worth it and I would do it again to see this show in a heartbeat.
This was also my favorite stage doors we’ve ever done. The cast was so incredibly kind and took their time with each person - seeing E get to meet some of her favorite performers was beautiful and inspiring. Core memories all around.
