Reposted from @channelthesun 📺☀️ [LINK IN BIO] We are looking for additional support to help us bring “The Channel the Sun Series” to life..
.
💡 Channel the Sun has offered many creations over the years and our latest concept is a unique culmination of everything we’ve built so far. The Channel the Sun Series is an episodic monthly installment of music, creativity, collaboration, and inspiration. We will be bringing together creators, experts, cutting edge brands and non-profit organizations as an experiment to explore the poignant topics of our day from a multi-disciplinary approach. Topics include creative process, sensuality, mothering within the patriarchy, modern fatherhood, climate change and much more.
.
🌚 The first episode we will be exploring the concept of birth, both physical and metaphysical. This experiment will be guided by co-creator of @thesacredjourneyofmotherhood – @mollymitchell_hardt. We have assembled a team of filmmakers, 3D animators, sculptors, musicians, fashion designers and others to tell stories of birth and creation from many unique perspectives.

#HOE is a modern day look at marriage in the urban community from a black woman’s perspective. From the struggles of being led by an alpha male, to fighting the lusty desires of old flames, this mother decides to explore what happiness means to her, without permission or transparency. They say the grass isn’t greener on the other side, but what if you have more than one lawn?

Middle Class USA. HOE is structured around an upper/middle class family’s life in southern California. A stay at home mom with no financial worries realizes she isn’t as happy as she portrays on social media and to her family and friends. Thirsty for fulfillment romantically and in a career, Ciara begins using her free time to test the pro’s and con’s of attaining what she wants. Using music as the narrator, HOE will have you second guessing the double standards society has placed on women and their role in their household. •

I meet you in the Dream Scene
Corporal surrender
To spiritual passion
Energy in continuum
Crossing the boundary
Of waking’s submission
Unconscious abounding
You awaken me
Conscious in my dreams

You meet me in the Dream Scene
Outreach across realities
Spiritual interaction
Energy in extension
Across this unified design
Together
In alternate existence
I awaken you
Conscious of these dreams

Every Thursday we open Channel the Sun’s heart and soul by shining light on a song from the #ZacharyMurdock vault.

Each of these songs seem to me like notes in a bottle that have washed up on the shore of the present. I’ve selected ones that have touched me in interesting and unexpected ways and I hope they find some resonance with you.
