🇯🇵 For Krissia’s latest campaign, we followed a secret all the way to Japan.

Last weekend I shot my 2nd music video ✌️ with a team of wonder women!

Actually, the idea to do a female production for this project came from my buddy Fel, with whom I did Erre, and who had a big influence on my creative process. This influence, I wanted to walk away from for this project, and learn how to trust myself as a director.

I liked the idea of working only with women because I find there’s usually more emotional intelligence, respect for eo’s idea, and a general sense of comfort with my girlfriends. It’s not that men can not provide it (I find the men in my life incredibly sensitive and inspiring!) but they are somehow more used to fight for their ideas in ways that I sometimes find intimidating.

So I wanted to feel free to take decisions, without being influenced by any power dynamic. And as usual, life gave it to me all the way : I took the producer and director’s part, which I didn’t realise would represent such an insane amount of work!

This project has been one of learning how to work together with a team, to trust and delegate, and I understood it’s a matter of balance between all forces at play. In this experience, the women involved supported me in ways I couldn’t have imagined :

🫶 the camera team worked 12 hours per day, bringing all their creativity to come up with the best shots - on skates, on scooter, underwater…
🫶the gang of 8 performers, friends in real life and on screen, who went into the cold waters of Liepnitzsee on a Friday morning, over and over, and did all the crazy ideas I had in mind with the best mood, always.
🫶 the incredible art team, who gave the video a visual identity, and transformed spaces and bodies for the entertainment of the eyes and the delight of the mind.
🫶 and all the kind souls who helped around, with cooking, driving, cleaning, sponsoring, sharing knowledge or equipment, space and time, and supported us under all circumstances.

It requires collaboration to turn ideas into videos, and I couldn’t have dreamt of a better team to make it happen.

Thank you! I am forever grateful for this weekend of co-creation and filmic experimentation.

Stay tuned for the outcome!
