I make custom dresses for any occasion! ✨

I’m launching my website very soon, so keep an eye out! 👀

This is something I’ve been wanting to do for years, but I never got around to it. I either didn’t have the confidence or didn’t feel like I had the opportunity.

Finally bringing this to life is scary, but so exciting!! ✨ I’m so excited to see where this takes me and to share my designs with you all. 🤍

I’m Amara, a 21-year-old dress designer who doesn’t study fashion?!?

I actually study Ecology and Environmental Science, which is where my passion for slow and sustainable fashion comes from. 🌱

I’m equally as passionate about my Biology background as I am about fashion, so making custom designs for a living is just one of my career goals but it’s a pretty big one! It just means doing a bit of extra juggling. 🫶🏼

In 2024, I set myself a goal to not buy any fast fashion clothing, which I’ve managed to stick to ever since. At first, I thought it would be really difficult, but now I can’t imagine shopping for fast fashion.

It’s so easy to buy second-hand and shop sustainably, even when it comes to special occasion wear! I’d like to make it even easier, by starting amaradesigns

I’m now a creative lead for Issue 2 of Lùth magazine!!
