My boy was amazing this weekend! He ran 4 times and never threw a fit and wanted to go in the alley every time. 3 runs for me, one Friday night, 2 Saturday, and one ride Friday night for one of my friends. We ran a 19 Friday and two 18’s on Saturday were getting consistent! If you know this horse it’s taken a long time to be consistent. Friday winning the open 3d and youth 2d. This was the first time I’ve ever had anyone other than me ride him at a show and he behaved beautiful and slowed it down!

Busy Weekend for us, not only did we hit our goal of a 19 at saddleview for the year but on Sunday at the turn the arena purple run at All In Farm we managed to run a 18! For our first run and a 19 for the youth. We fell in the 3d hole in the open and 3d 1st in the youth! We’re finally figuring this whole barrel thing out even with rider errors.

Well last night I guess we can say it finally clicked! Everyone told me for the last three years to just stick it out and eventually we’ll click and the work will show and we did just that. Our goal for the season since the first race was to run a 19 second and we finally did that! Having our first ever 1d placement in the youth (2nd) and falling somewhere in the 2d hole in the open.

A little late to posting this buttttt, a few weekends ago we went to the Wolcott fair and Tatanka had his best barrel run yet and a great dash run winning money in both! This was his first time running poles off property and although we had to go through the pattern three times to get it right I am extremely proud of him. A few years ago I wouldn’t have even tried to run poles much less corrected the mistakes in front of everyone.

Great to be back at All in Farm. Might not have been our best run. But it was enough for 3D 1st and brought home some money. Love every time with my boy Tatanka. Thank you to my sponsors and friends and family who support and encourage me.
