5 years of an idea, 2 years of process, 1 month of exhibition.

So many people have contributed to making this a reality and to whom thank you will never be enough.

To Kandis, Meriem, Orian and Tai, thank you for your generosity and trust in sharing your work.
To the Swedish Girls, Mira and Josefin, and XAARCHIVE, Sofia and Nayla, for their beautiful designs.
To Sebastiano for being able to visually translate to its essence the identity of the Foundation and the project in all its facets.
To Louise Trotter and the Bottega Veneta team for supporting this project with respect and through a real and shared partnership. To Eliza for making this possible.
And to Chiara and Marta for the care, dedication, hard work and love you have shown in every aspect of its development, a thank you I’ll never stop saying.
To my family and our legacy, to be part of it is the greatest honour.

All time will forever remain.

RUPTURE VENICE REOPENS ITS DOORS APRIL 29
After opening on the Giudecca, Rupture is moving to the historic center of Venice, in Santa Croce district, in the heart of the prestigious «Museum district», just steps from Fondazione Prada.

Rupture is a new cultural engine for Venice: an experimental bookstore that rethinks what a
contemporary reading space can be.

Positioned between tradition and transformation, Rupture acts as a platform for independent publishing, a laboratory for new ideas, and a bridge between Venice and the world.

Rupture reopens in the Santa Croce neighborhood in Venice, to expand its offerings, its space, its catalog, and to launch its publishing house, its record label, and its podcast production studio.

Our mission is to celebrate books not as fixed objects, but as living encounters between cultures, disciplines, generations, and creative practices.

Located a stone’s throw from the Grand Canal at the San Stae Vaporetto station, on the street adjacent to the immense architectural masterpiece of the San Stae church, Rupture has decided to set up the shop in the heart of the museum and foundation district.

No fewer than 10 museums and institutions are concentrated along the Grand Canal in the Santa Croce district: the Mocenigo Museum, the Prada Foundation, the Natural History Museum, the Valmont Foundation, the Ama Foundation, the Ca’ d’Oro Palace, the Berggruen Foundation, Ca’Pesaro, the Casa del Cinema, the Museum of Oriental Art, and yet, no art bookstore in the vicinity.
This is a real need in the area, and we will synthesize everything that is missing from the bookstores of these museums and provide a solution through a carefully curated and refined selection that complements the existing offerings of museum bookstores. We see ourselves more as a partner to museums and will organize various events, including author meet-and-greets, special events, partnerships on new exhibitions, and sales of their catalogs, all in accordance with their cultural calendars. We will also explore co-publishing projects with certain museums

Rupture’s program is built on three pillars: global independence, local relevance, and curatorial experimentation.
