6 days and 23 pages down. I think that puts us at like 22% of the movie shot so far. Very thankful to have so many cool folks helping out!

Big ol’ congrats to @sarahcnolen on ripping off the band-aid with a film that we are SO proud to have been a part of. Film is a trickle down emotional business, and this one was led by one of the best out there. Naturally, the whole experience — from development through production, post, screenings and festivals, and now development on the feature — has been an overwhelmingly positive one. Thank you to the whole dang cast and crew for knocking this one out of the park. I love alla yinz!

HARD PART’S OVER. TIME TO PARTY ON A BOAT.

We are proud to announce that we have received 2 Emmy Nominations!

Before this nomination, ‘The Ocean – Five Years’ had already won Best Documentary in Vienna and closed the Three Rivers Film Festival.

Turner’s Dairy started with three cows and a vision. 95 years later, that vision is a Pennsylvania dairy institution — now with an Emmy-nominated documentary.

These honors mark a career total of nine Emmy nominations for our female-led studio. “We get to share incredible stories and to be recognized for our work is an honor,” said Courtney Gumpf, Executive Producer and Co-Founder of Flying Scooter Productions. “I’m proud of our crew and my producing-partner, Jenni. Our goal is to create impact and engage on a human level. These films showcase that.”

Congratulations & thank you to our producing partners and friends @brett__mccutcheon @thevaultrecording & @turnerspgh

$20,000 camera and a $20 water hose, if it works it works. NEW BTS from our recent shoot with @nolanfoxmusic .

Shooting in black & white on our @freeflysystems Ember, and using 7,000 watts of flicker-free light from @nanluxamericas. We were able to shoot at 2,000+ frames per second at 2.5k resolution, making these images possible.

Thanks to @elkeibler, @abstractviews.video, @dennypry, @chriscichra, @evalineleah for making this happen.

SLEEPING WITCH & SATURN - MOTHER’S DAY

Sometimes in this business, you get the opportunity to wander into the woods with your friends and a camera to tell a tale of transgenerational trauma (woot woot!). Along the way you get to learn a lot about Freudian Psychology, Tarot, silent-era special effects, the marks we unknowingly make on one another, node-based compositing (which is dumb!), Jodorowocky-ian avant-garde, and — if you’re *really* lucky —you even get to spend a lot of time thinking about The Wizard of Oz.

Sometimes, you’re even lucky enough to experience the pure joy of creating something from nothing with the people you love, all in service of artists whose work means more to you than they ever could know. In this business, we call that “A Good Day.”

Thank you to Anna, Matt, Rowdy, and Nelson for some really good days, and a special thanks to Luke Keibler, without whom none of it would’ve been possible.
