CooS 2026! After a 7-year hiatus, it’s well and truly back!
So many special moments… catching up with pals we’ve not seen in years and somehow still managing to catch almost everything in the packed schedule,
I loved so many performances, but on Sunday afternoon @oonlyfaces and @zhaoziyiiiii, killed it!
And saving one of the best for the grand finale… @medicinestunts closing out the festival, he gave us exactly what we came for 🔥
@dylan_nyoukis @smack_music and Michael, thank you for curating this special weekend, there ain’t nothing quite like it 👏👏👏👏

Our third live gathering unfurled thusly like uncanny lichen. Fantasms, magics, rave phantoms and esoteric tapemangle occurred. Everyone was amazing. We convene again at the @the_rose_hill on June 20th. Details imminent.

So happy to share our new zine BRIGHTEENS!!!!

THIS IS THE SOUND OF YOUTH

During the summers of 2022 and 2023, we went to Brighton, UK, and took to the streets to document
the lives of 10 Gen Z teenagers.
Throughout this project, we aimed to capture the ‘work-in-progress’ nature of adolescence and the constantly shifting period of teenagehood.
Although these teenagers were born in the 2000s, they echoed our own coming-of-age stories: their aspirations and concerns, their way of dressing, the soundtrack of their days...Despite the years that
separate us from them, we found an unexpected depth of common ground.
‘Brighteens’ poses a critical question: in an age shaped by the internet and social media, does the notion of ‘urban tribes’ still hold meaning?
How do Gen Z teens perceive belonging to a community, and how do they express that sense of belonging? To what extent do these teenagers play with and deconstruct the codes of past decades in
order to reappropriate them?
