This shoot was SO. MUCH. FUN. 🤩

Sage is ridiculously talented. She takes old denim jackets and all kinds of fabrics and turns them into the coolest, one-of-a-kind pieces. I seriously love watching someone’s creativity come to life.

This corner of my world definitely went quiet for a while 😅 partially because life got busy, partially because this is my “fun” outlet, that tends to get the silence when everything else gets loud.🫠

But man… picking my camera back up reminded me why I fell in love with this hobby. Getting to capture the art, the magic, the people I’m lucky enough to work with 🥹💕 it fills my cup in a completely different way. ✨

When I was first starting in photography, I would get frustrated with my camera settings and my lighting was always a hit or a miss. I actually took a break from shooting because of it. But when I jumped back in, I decided to focus on learning how to work with flash.

I invested in a some triggers and a modifier, and something just clicked. It completely changed the way I saw light and tbh is where I truly found my style.

I love how flash can make your work stand out. How it adds contrast and depth to your images.

How it makes colors pop and things feel more cinematic.

How the flash hits interesting textures like velvet & silk in the most beautiful way.

And most of all, I love being able to control my light in virtually any scenario.

That’s why I am planning a styled elopement + lighting content day! Not only to celebrate my 3-year anniversary of jumping back into photography and learning flash, but to share what I’ve learned with other photographers. No gatekeeping, no intimidation. Just community, creativity, and connection.

It’s also a chance to create something unique together: a styled shoot that’s inclusive, artistic, and designed to be a fun, creative playground to strengthen our portfolios.

Photographer tickets are officially live and there are limited spots, dm me to get all of the info.
