This is my appreciation post, it’s a long one…

We got everything we wanted and so much more 🥇

I would like to start of by saying
I have been unattached and without a WL coach for several years now, and am a little bit of a lone wolf in the Weightlifting community. I trust very few people to handle the cards for me and @coach.toph is one of them. This man goes out of his way to coach me at the National events. He genuinely cares about the well being of his athletes and highly respects the sport of weightlifting. He is always cool, calm, and collected, and if and when things do get stressful because they do, he’ll never show it on his face. He has the ability to make me feel confident during the session and he is having as much fun as I am out there. You are a coach that shines differently then the rest.

To @michaelscottnow and @luiiism_ my road dogs for coming along with me on this crazy adventure of mine and keeping it light and fun in the warm up area. And the hamstrings slaps were a must.

To my sister @lovablelamaajh, who supports me in my passion.

To the beautiful women @kahafeli @theclaudiachen in the warm up area that changed my weights.

To @jpamistoso @samantha_lusk, all the coaches, members @ganbatte_2.0 @strangestrengthandconditioning, and everyone who donated…
None of this could have be done without your love, guidance, and belief in me.

To everyone who watched the live feed, I fed off your energy and it ignited every bone in my body. I think y’all could tell.

And finally to @charleschungfitness and the @wilderathletics crew.
At a time when I was feeling really low, physically incapable of training, and mentally unable to coach, you presented me with an opportunity that very few black female WL coaches get. And by giving me that chance, we succeeded in our task and that event redirected me not giving up on my own training and not pulling out of AO2. You are all a true gift.

And I can’t forget to thank @cal_strength for building up my leg strength in a very short period of time.

That’s it for now, but more to come 🤙🏽
