The first time I watched this short film, I got a little emotional.

Seeing this story come to life through motion felt completely different. Vahab has such an incredible instinct for capturing movement, emotion and storytelling, and I genuinely couldn’t have asked for a better collaborator to have shared this with.

Since creating this story, I’ve gone on to style more shoots, tell more stories and work with some incredibly talented people. There’s so much sitting quietly behind the scenes right now, and I can’t wait to see where these stories find their home — and finally share them with you all.

For now, this one will always be special. ♡

STORY TIME—
It is about 1 a.m. at the time of writing this and I am in an uber on the way home after a night with friends, and I begin reflecting and thinking about what to say when I make this post.

Words can’t quite describe how I feel. And without trying to sound cliché, I’ve known for a long time that I wanted to see my work among the pages of a magazine. So, it feels sort of fitting that my first editorial credit is a story titled “Things We Long For” because this is something I’ve been working towards, with a deep sense of longing, for quite some time.

If you told me a year ago that I was going to be published, I probably would have laughed and shrugged it off. At the time, it felt like one of those things I wanted so badly, but wasn’t quite sure was possible.

And now, here we are.

Thank you to Ian and the incredible team at Grazia Malaysia, and to Vahab, an amazing collaborator. I’m so grateful to have shared this first with you all.

To my friends, my family, and all the wonderful people I’ve had the pleasure of meeting and working with along the way, creating some pretty awesome things together, thank you for your love, encouragement and support. I’m truly filled with gratitude.

And to my husband, my biggest supporter, thank you for always believing in me, especially in the moments when I didn’t quite believe in myself.

My life has changed so much in the last six months, and somehow, it hasn’t stopped moving since.

I love this.

Styling, to me, is really just playing dress-up, and I have so much fun doing it. Somewhere along the way, something I longed for became something I actually get to do.

And I can’t wait to show you what’s next.
