As a Polish born but Irish-raised designer and foster care leaver, I am beyond proud to be representing at the second-ever Ireland Fashion Week. This is more than a fashion milestone for me. It's a celebration of identity, resilience, creativity and acceptance. Growing up in Ireland with Polish roots and navigating life through the TUSLA system has shaped not only who I am, but also the designer I have become. To now have the opportunity to showcase my own work in the second Ireland Fashion Week ever means more than words can express. It's about representing and giving hope to other young people who have experienced foster care to know that our backgrounds do not determine the spaces we deserve to occupy. It's about finding my place and belonging to the two cultures that im part off. We can be the creatives. The designers. The visionaries. Polish born. Irish-raised. Care-experienced. A designer.
