We recently had our final rep team shoot with our 2026 grads and as they all walked away it hit me like it does every year that I was saying goodbye to a lot of them for the final time. Some of them have been on the rep team for over 2 years. A few of them I have known for most of their lives. All of them have been an absolute pleasure to work with and I will miss them.
I know they will all go on to do amazing things and I am happy that I was able to capture a few of their memories their senior year. It was an honor.

Happy Galentine’s Day!
I met with some of my reps this past weekend to do some photos for Valentine’s Day/ Galentine’s Day and I love the final results. Something about the combo of reds and pinks on a snowy winter day just makes me a bit more hopeful that Spring really is just around the corner.

I have had a lot of questions about my Rep Team so I thought I’d answer the most common ones real quick. There will be a lot more information sent out when the applications go live on March 1st to any of the students who apply as well.
As always, please don’t hesitate to DM me if you have questions about the team.
“What is The Rep Team?”
The Rep Team is an idea I came up with about 8 years ago that has developed into something that 1492 is now known for. It’s a group of juniors and seniors who participate in styled shoots throughout the year and then share their photos from those shoots. The biggest part of it is a creative outlet for me and something fun for them to participate in while also having new photos to share on their social media pages.
“My student is super busy with sports. What if they can’t make a shoot?”
I’d say 90% of our reps are involved in sports or other school activities as well as have jobs and can’t make it to every single shoot. It’s actually super rare that a rep is able to make it to every shoot during their rep year. If they can’t make it, we just catch up with them at the next shoot. None of the styled shoots are ever a requirement. I have a teenager myself, so I know how busy they are. If you can make it, awesome! If not, then I’ll send you details on the next one.
“Do they have to purchase clothes or props for the styled shoots?”

For Ella’s project, she will add content to the East website (cehsnews.com) to keep students engaged with our news. Her posts on the website will include her own work, other people’s projects, photo dumps, polls, games, and informational content. Ella will post on each B day, as she will be primarily focused on news-related stories. She will include a recap of the week and upcoming things during the month. Towards the end of her project, she will advertise the new and improved website throughout the school.

Ella- Columbus East High School
Sometimes you can plan the perfect location and then on the way to the shoot find out that the road you need is closed completely due to an accident and have to call an audible. Okay, thankfully not sometimes as in it happens often but that is what happened on the evening of Ella's session. Thankfully we were able to rework the plan and I think the final images are even better than what we had planned!
Thank you to Ella and her mom for being flexible and trusting me when I asked you to follow me blindly!

Have you ever heard the saying "not my monkeys and not my circus?"
Well, these ARE my monkeys and I am most certainly the ring leader of the circus!!!
Since they officially start their senior year this week I met up with my Class of 2026 Reps and did a fun photoshoot with their senior jeans. I love how unique and creative all of them turned out.
Have a wonderful 'Last first day' this week, ladies!! #studio1492photography #1492seniors #seniorstyleguide #senioryearmagazine #seniorsznmagazine #seniormusemagazine #seniormuse #posepatch #theseniorbest #seniorinspire #ssg #seniorgradacademy #senior #seniormusemagazine #napcpseniors #seniormuse #theseniorwave #seniorgradacademy #seniorluxe #inspiringteensmagazine #teenyearsmagazine #classof2026 #classof2027
